Job Description
KTM has an incredible opportunity for an experienced track technician to join our team as Flat Track Technician. This is a very important roll to play involving our product, athletes, and race teams.

Responsibilities include:
• Oversees team technicians and race shop work areas.
• Oversees team coordination on a weekly basis.
• Liaises with Motorsports Manager for ongoing coordination of racing inventory, including inventory analysis and possibly purchasing spare parts and specialty racing parts for the race shop and race truck.
• Prepares required reports for both pre-race and post-race equipment performance reviews.
• Ongoing race event planning and management to ensure that the team’s needs and requirements are met, including parking, set-up and tear-down of race truck at race events.
• Monitors and adjusts service input to maximize race success opportunities.
• Ensure that team transport hauler and equipment is properly maintained by technicians and everything is kept clean and in an appropriate manner, coordinating with Fleet Specialist as necessary.
• Manage the technical points of the race bikes including race tech, tire choices, tire allotment and strategy based on suspension setting strategy.
• Oversees calibration of all necessary test equipment in the proper manner.
• Completes any new product training required to meet rider technical service and product needs with staff.
• Work in with professional and amateur racers/teams to analyze their comments and provide them with technical assistance on racing motorcycle set-up and engine management performance.
• Ensure that the KTM brand is represented at the highest level of quality during race events including race display, employee conduct, and employee appearance.
• Assist Team Manager conducting employee annual reviews in accordance with HR requirements as team grows.
• Maintain work areas and tools in a clean and appropriate manner.
• Assist media department on as needed bases with bike preparation, including washing and reconditioning bikes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Time to time must assist with Customer Serves duties as needed
• Engine rebuilding for Race team and CS needs, event participation and other duties as requested
Job Requirements
Generally, requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in race team service or equivalent training certification. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Valid motorcycle license required.
• Engine – Five years of Dyno testing, engine part analysis, endurance testing of engine parts, maximizing each engine part for the highest level of performance with-in the rule book.
• Suspension – Development of racing suspension settings, including internal valving, spring rate, clickers settings, shock length, fork height, ride height and internal components for maximum performance.
• Chassis – Evaluating different chassis components, including steering head angles, triple clamp fixings and offsets, linkage ratings and torsion ratings for swing arms.
