The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, energetic and have a strong knowledge/passion for cycling (triathlon and active/running a plus too), as well as possess a strong and proven social media background. The position is a mix of community growth, community management, platform management and collaboration with the marketing/creative team.

Our social channels are key to connecting with our existing base, while striving to build the base of new customers. The growth of these channels makes this role key to the future success of the Jakroo brand. This position is responsible for engaging with our customers, leveraging their engagements, and developing potential new customers who connect with us across all social media channels.

You must provide an outstanding portfolio of social-focused work showcasing a variety of content and examples.

The Social Media Specialist will:

• With assistance of Sr. Director of Marketing: develop and implement highly strategic and comprehensive social media plans; ensure consumer acquisition and engagement to support the company's overall objectives.
• Create innovative and strategic content across all social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok (as well as Jakroo.com).
• Measure, track, and report on how social media content is performing and advise team members on how to use the data.
• Collaborate with key cross-functional departments to confirm social media campaign effectiveness; ensure that social media is incorporated into all of the company's campaigns.
• Monitor competitive social landscape, market changes, and developments; remain current on emerging industry and digital trends; provide highly strategic recommendations.
• Engage in daily conversations with followers and respond to questions efficiently and accurately; send escalated issues to management as necessary.
• Work with Jakroo sponsored athletes and teams to cross-promote our products.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

• Reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing, the key role will be to lead, develop, and execute creative solutions and storytelling in alignment with brand identity aesthetics to meet marketing department objectives and KPIs.
• Establish a road map with a strategic vision for all social channels and KPIs to measure success.
• Partner with creative team to conceptualize and design content series to be deployed across all social media channels.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Marketing to brainstorm content strategy and plan editorial calendar for social media.
• Real-time design and execution of assets by channel, including but not limited to: video, short-form GIFs/boomerangs/time-lapse, static images, etc. (with assistance from creative team).
• Prepare and manage retouching and other production needs on own projects(with assistance from creative team).
• Participate in internal meetings as well as interact with external vendors where needed.
• Work closely with, communicate and present ideas/creative with all key stakeholders and counterparts.
• Deliver assets in the correct format and on time.

Skills:
• Exceptionally skilled at image curation, visual storytelling, typography, layout, form and color.
• Well-rounded design experience across all social media channels.
• Ability to create gifs and other lightweight video social content.
• Highly creative, collaborative, positive, and proactive.
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• Strong writing skills with impeccable grammar and spelling.
• Photography skill is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel (including weekends) to events within the US and Internationally.
