About the Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated Graphics Designer to drive brand reach and growth through all consumer channels. This role will be responsible for helping to create the best and most cohesive brand experience to educate and excite new and existing Manduka customers. If you are a Graphics Designer with a bias for actions, a keen eye for design, an inherent ability to translate core business concepts into compelling visuals, and a passion for yoga and wellness — this role is for you!
Job Description
Under the guidance of the Creative Director, the Graphics Designer will support the marketing needs of all internal departments, with a focus on creative content development, layout, design, and copywriting. They will be responsible for the layout and updates to company marketing materials, presentations, brochures, emails, infographics, brand templates, and brand website. The right candidate is an extraordinary team player, able to adapt to the brand style, tone, and standards, as well as handle multiple projects and priorities.
Responsibilities:
• Fulfill digital graphic needs for websites, digital media, social media, and presentations.
• Assist with marketing literature, collateral, and other print design projects.
• Support ongoing media placements via ad production.
• Partner with the Creative Director to brainstorm new approaches for marketing materials.
• Optimize photography for use across all marketing channels, including print, digital, web, and social.
• Design and prep packaging files for print.
• Manage internal Data Asset Management system, following logical filing structure for all media.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team, as well as cross-functionally with key stakeholders in sales, product management, and other internal departments to determine needs, define requirements, and collaborate on projects.
• Work closely with the Marketing team to support and promote the brand strategy.
• Maintain campaign consistency across all projects and platforms, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Design and prep packaging files for accurate production across both print and digital channels
• Create simple line illustrations and icons using freehand and line drawing.
Experience / Requirements:
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a graphic designer for large consumer and/or lifestyle brands.
• Proven record of design usability for web-based experiences with a deep understanding of mobile-first, accessible and responsive design
• Experience designing and prepping files for print
• Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (including but not restricted to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• 2+ years of UX experience
• 1+ years Digital Photography and Video Editing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in design or related studies, or equivalent technical trade degree or experience in graphic design
Skills:
• Superior interpersonal communication and customer service skills
• Highly motivated, self-managed individual
• A strong understanding of digital and print production processes
• Elevated visual design sensibilities
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions
• Familiar with all Social Media Platforms
• Apple Mac proficient
• Ability to create simple Line Drawings and Illustrations a plus
