Faction Skis is in search of a MARKETING LEAD, NA to join the team in BRECKENRIDGE, CO. USA.

The key challenge in the role is the breadth of experience we seek matched with a strong personality fit. Faction is dispersed but it is tight-knit and very transparent. The core experience set that this role will require includes:

• Brand management & strategy
- Assisting the EU team in refining consumer and trade campaigns year on year
- Strategy development with a North American focus
- Tactical implementation ensuring everything adheres to that core
- Building annual NA marketing budget and ensuring spend is within budget

• Promotion and advertising
- Paid content placement across channels
- Analytics with a strong focus on reviewing and improving
- Digital native
- Successful partnerships, i.e., with resorts, natural partners
- Consumer event management with clear impact (we run dozens annually)
- Ski media relationships and editorial placement of copy written by EU copywriter
- Non-ski media seeding and PR placement
- Ad buys, Buyer’s Guide placement

• Trade channel marketing
- Full-year communications, supporting assets – print & digital
- Trade event management (we run several globally annually)
- Store relationships & creative ideas to drive retail partnerships
- Attending ski and outerwear media tests
- Visual merchandising, POP & sales team support at the retail partner level
- Organisation of our annual GSM
- Planning and execution of out-of-calendar product launches based on strategy discussions

• Leadership & personality

• Product development dialogue
- Critical and continuous dialogue with the product team
- Researching market needs based on real cases, not just statistics and convention

- The right balance of personal fit and brand impact

The role will be based in Breckenridge, USA, however there will be annual trips to London and Verbier, Switzerland to visit our other offices and attend team weeks.

Job Requirements

The candidate will have:

A university degree
At least ten years experience in marketing
Ideal candidates will have brand experience with soul-oriented brands
Apparel experience a plus
Strong facility with modern business tools, from digital systems to presentation management and development software to VOIP and other means of productive communications
A ‘startup’ mentality – things get done because we make them happen
It would be unlikely that a candidate who is not an avid skier would fit the profile
