OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

The Digital Content Coordinator helps support marketing & eCommerce plans and drive online sales by assuring that prAna’s customers always receive the best online experience by viewing the latest campaign assets and an accurate product assortment. This position is responsible for product enablement/disablement, product movement, accuracy of META data, ADA reader compliance and page/folder and category structures in the eCommerce and content platforms. This position supports the Web UI Developer in loading interactive materials and validating regularly recurring website updates. He/she will further support the UX team in validating content updates and helping to QA new content. Content is something formatted and web ready but at times it is free-form and requires medium proficiency in HTML and CSS skills to properly structure for the customer.

Working closely with the merchandising and planning teams, the Coordinator assists in the loading and unloading of consumer-facing products from the website (both scheduled and on demand) in a timely manner and will coordinate promotions, pricing group changes and the assets that support them. This position works closely with the Web Development Team to assure that new interactive experiences pass muster in terms of quality and user experience before going into production.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Utilizes data loading and merchandising tools to proactively load new products and remove stale or out-of-stock products (enable/disable) based on reporting on a daily basis and in collaboration with the merchandising, planning and design teams. Assure that proper 301 redirects are in place for old products, categories and seasonal navigational items
2. Works with the Web UI Developer, creative department, and other cross-functional resources to assist in placement of final web assets online, on-time and without error
3. Coordinates with SEO experts to assure high ranking meta information for all new areas of the site. This includes seasonal coordination of new product line copy and category level SEO-friendly copy site-wide
4. Validates, reports and mitigates any non-compliance issues with regard to ADA screen readers relative to META data
5. Writes and define in formal documentation the process flow for pricing changes, seasonal updates, promotional execution and product movement
6. Works with front-end teams to validate for QA and accuracy all interactive project work
7. Performs batch processing of product imagery to maintain consistent product cropping and sizing across categories as well as product image and video naming conventions; assists photo studio and retouching resources with any product image issues
8. Loads video assets on a seasonal and as-needed basis for products
9. Documents process flows with regard to content, pricing, promotion, and product inventory-based tasks
10. Maintains web best practices and user experience optimization
11. Creates new categories, pages, META data or other basic needs of the prAna digital teams. Assure that 301 redirects are in place for deprecated pages.
12. Performs a number of activities/tasks to ensure smooth online experience; identify, recommend solutions for improvements
13. Manages promotional codes for emails, display marketing and shipping offers as needed throughout the annual sales cycle
14. Assist in planning, ideation and workflow alongside the Project Manager for all upcoming content related tasks and milestones

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience working with online store products and/or digital assets or within a digital marketing team of a recognized brand with hands-on tactical experience
- Experience working in content management or commerce management tool sets or similar tools for managing the deployment of assets and campaigns
- Strong sense of online customer experience related to design aesthetic
- Understanding of photo editing tools for cropping, sizing and batch processing
- Understanding of file systems, caching and permissions as well as FTP
- Understanding of mid-level HTML and CSS in order to format content (free-form and structured blocks), blog posts and pages alongside a Web UI Developer
- Experience working with SEO elements, the fundamentals of META data and rich text ? Has worked with workflow, ticketing and collaboration tools such as Basecamp, TeamWork, Jira or other

Technical Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of website fundamentals and content management required
- Understanding of the interactive creation process from wireframes and annotations to designs, development and QA
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Understanding of creation and optimization of web graphics
- Mid-level HTML & CSS knowledge; basic Javascript
- Familiarity with e-Commerce platforms preferred (Magento a plus but not required)
- High competency with file systems and file manipulation to quickly rename, assort and organize files
- Understanding of image manipulation, slicing and batching
