Job Description

Zeal Optics is searching for an experienced Sales Rep to market our high-quality, innovative polarized sunwear and goggles throughout the Pacific Northwest within the action sports and optical channel of trade. The position is a direct sales rep opening.

Job Duties:
1. Manage all aspects of the assigned territory by developing and implementing sales strategies that promote the Sell-in and Sell-through of Zeal product within each account in the optical and outdoor markets
2. Has many existing strong relationships within the outdoor, optical and sunglass-specialty markets.
3. Maintain and grow existing Zeal Accounts with superior support through planning, sales analysis, training, trunk shows and local marketing.
4. Prospect and open accounts that present the greatest potential for current and long-term sales with the Zeal Brand.
5. Create brand awareness throughout assigned territory by managing local athletes, creating and hosting events and by being present at local retail and industry events.
6. Maintain and collect the necessary territory records and information required by manager.
7. Able to run and analyze account sales and sell through reports.
8. Provide consistent training to all accounts on Zeal products and brand efforts.
9. Continually represent Zeal in the best professional manner by returning account phone calls/emails, keeping appointments and keeping an upbeat/enthusiastic demeanor.

Job Requirements

Desired Qualifications:
University degree in business field with minimum of 3 – 5 years successful field sales experience. Experience in sunglass or optical industry, outdoor/action sport or snow industry preferred.

In Lieu of education, the following equivalent is preferred:
High school graduate with 1 to 2 years college with a minimum of 5+ year’s field sales experience. Experience in sunglass or optical industry.

Skills:
- Ability to understand and stay within set territory budgets
- Excellence in sales and service skills.
- A consistent track record of exceeding goals and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional communication: verbal and written skills.
- Strong computer skills. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong presentation and analytical skills
- Be able to learn and adapt to new order taking mediums
- 70% travel minimum. (Overnight travel expected)
- Has established relationships with Optical, Outdoor and Snow accounts.
