General Job Description:
You will have overall responsibility for the company’s multi-million dollar purchasing budget, inventory management, and production scheduling. You will use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and the Advanced Forecasting and Procurement System (AFP) module, in combination with feedback from sales, operations, and product development, to ensure that the company purchases the right products in the right quantities at the right time. You will prepare and issue purchase orders and change notices, and manage all aspects of the supply chain for efficiency and timeliness. You will develop systems and metrics to evaluate vendors and overall supply chain performance. You will prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals and vendor agreements. You will work with suppliers in the U.S., Sweden, Germany, China, India, Thailand, and other countries. You will apply continuous improvement methodologies to your work and participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities across the company.
