We are currently looking to add an ambitious Product Development Engineer to our team in Dallas, TX, one who wants to learn, grow and have a goal to eventually become the department lead. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Adobe Illustrator software and will have at least 2 years of development experience in the footwear, apparel or accessory industries. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic who is eager to learn and passionate about the industries we serve. You will be a part of a small, hard-working team, and your contributions will have a major impact on the overall success of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
General
• Work closely with design, marketing, and sourcing teams, under guidance from the Design Director and Director of Product
• Communicate with internal teams and overseas factories
• Work closely with team members to achieve seasonal and fast-track goals of on-time delivery and profitability

Product Development
• Analyze, measure and evaluate product samples
• Provide detailed sample analysis with regard to technical details, quality construction and proper fit
• Provide clear, electronic revision instructions to factories and international teams
• Create product material content labels
• Organize and manage product storage system, including R&D samples, size sets, field tested gloves, etc

Materials & Lab Tech
• Maintain fabric, trim and component libraries. Digital and physical
• Maintain and expand in house test laboratory
• Perform necessary in-house material testing and work with third party test labs pertaining to different ASTM, ISO, AATTC, REACH, PROP 65 and CE standards.
• Develop and innovate new materials or components by working with end users, material suppliers and utilizing our in-house lab
