Catalyst Creative Group is a fast growing design, sourcing and manufacturing company based in Irvine, CA. The company manufactures in Asia for retailers such as Nordstrom, Target, Tilly’s, Zumiez, Buckle, Kohls, Costco, Sam’s Club, Rue 21 etc.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Import Production and Compliance Manager interfaces with cross functional teams that include Design, Merchandising, Product Development, Sales, Distribution who are collectively responsible for product and strategies to support end-to-end process. This position reports into the Director of Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Compliance:
o Establish and manage best of class Factory Compliance and Social Compliance practices with supply chain.
o Assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies.
o Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees.
o Keep informed regarding pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assess the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes.
o Interface with our Shanghai, China based Compliance Manager to ensure all factories meet our customers compliance requirements.
• Production:
o Establish and manage best of class Quality Assurance processes with supply chain including 3rd party product testing and factory audits.
o Digest customer guidelines and vendor manuals and disperse info to relevant teams
o Establish key performance indicator tracking methodology and develop corresponding management reports (product lifecycle calendar, on time shipping, quality metrics, vendor scorecards)
o Manage the seasonal pipeline ensuring all teams meet required deliverables to optimize on time delivery, fill rates, and quality product execution
o Work with Merchandising / Design teams to ensure accurate data integrity throughout the product lifecycle process.
o Interface with Sales staff and vendor base in context to seasonal lead times, factory capacity, and prioritization of key initiatives.
o Manage inbound logistics process and work with both vendors and carriers to optimize freight expense and on time delivery.
