About the job
Large, fast growing Orange County apparel manufacturer is looking for an accomplished Fit Technician to join the Men's design team. This position is the liaison between Design, Development and Production and is responsible to maintain garment integrity regarding fit and construction.
Essential Job Duties:
• Must have ownership of creating and maintaining block fit library that includes specs/patterns/approved fit samples/measuring guides to ensure consistency in production across all factories and brands.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining grade rules and construction standards for these blocks
• Keeping all samples/specs/patterns/comments in an organized manner for easy team reference
• Communicate daily with design, development, and factory regarding any fabric, trim, and construction issues that may be potential problems
• Measure, evaluate, and document all garment submits from fit proto sample through TOP.
• Responsible to provide clear and articulate fit comments to factory and or customer with photos including spec updates, pattern corrections, construction improvements to ensure product accuracy and on-time delivery
• Manage all fittings with design and development, give fit suggestions and solutions, while taking detailed notes to ensure fit and quality standards are met.
• Manage Tracker on all fits with each factory and customer to meet production delivery due dates.
• Follow up with factories to make sure we are receiving fit samples in a timely matter.
• Review bulk production if necessary to ensure fit quality is met for the customer
• Assist designers in creating techpacks that ensure product construction details are properly called out with methods that are cost effective and production friendly (sewing details, POM, pictures, technical sketches, label placement, fabric details, packaging, etc.)
• Create or assign specs for all new styles
• Other duties as assigned
