AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
• Oversee Tech Design (TD) department and 2-person team
• Fit and garment construction integrity for all company’s Menswear product categories including swim, casual bottoms, woven and knits, outerwear, and some boys

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Evaluate, standardize and refine processes and procedures to optimize productivity and efficiency
• Manage, train and mentor TD team and workflow
• Create and manage best fit blocks for the company’s own brands and private label and ensure fit consistency across product categories
• Develop, implement and manage company’s minimum construction standards for best quality, and consistency across vendors and manufacturing efficiency
• Master and execute private label customers’ fit and construction requirements
• Conduct live and form fittings on own brand and private label product with cross-functional teams
• Compile evaluation reports and correction recommendations to vendors including review of patterns
• Conduct sample review prior to customer submission to ensure specifications are met and offer suggestions and comments on construction, spec, shape, grading, etc.
• Communicate and collaborate with private label client’s Technical counterparts
• Issue specs and grading
• Participate in customer’s training program and obtain certification where applicable
• Identify potential production, quality and costing issues and make recommendations to ensure brand integrity
• Provide technical fit and garment construction expertise and support to the Design and cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Coach and collaborate with overseas vendors to execute customers’ requirements
• Manage production WIP as it relates to fit
• Conduct a periodic fit audit of competitors to benchmark and ensure company’s best fit
