Your Job:

The Lead Business Intelligence Engineer is a multi-faceted position leveraging both technical acumen and your excitement to support end users. Brooks has a cloud-first analytics platform that leverages industry leading Business Intelligence capabilities. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on how things are done! You will work with technical leadership and stakeholders across the enterprise leaders to understand, prioritize and deliver solutions. You will work on our hardest problems, building high quality, architecturally sound analytics solutions. While you will not be asked to develop dashboards, your background will help inform potential solutions, and your thought leadership will drive what is possible. Business Intelligence technology evolves quickly, you will stay on top of trends in the marketplace and participate in defining the future of Business Intelligence at Brooks!

You will help Brooks bring our data to life.

Your Responsibilities:
! Business Enablement
! Collaborate with business partners to drive adoption and optimization of the analytics platform through efforts such as Business Intelligence Community of Practice and open office hours.
! Learn the business and the data that supports the business; understand users needs and offer recommendations – drive self-service and offer hands-on guidance.
! Define, socialize, and drive Business Intelligence governance and standard methodologies.
! Instill comprehension of technical concepts for non-technical audiences through presentations (executive leadership and large groups), email, and meetings.
Platform & Solution Delivery

! Lead Business Intelligence development ability through appropriate delivery models (e.g. full-time, staff augmentation, offshore, business lead).
! Assess how to structure Tableau to meet business needs (e.g., collections, site structure, refresh schedules, subscriptions, permissions, personal space, etc.)
! Collaborate with data, information management, and data science (advanced analytics) teams to define the scope, design, and implement appropriate solutions for business needs. Ensure information management requirements are fulfilled for Business Intelligence.
! Support our production environment and ensure Business Intelligence assets are produced on time and with quality
! Work with peers in the data & analytics, enterprise applications, infrastructure and operations, and security teams to ensure integration points are secured, effectively defined, developed, and supported.
! Identify and proactively manage risks to the Business Intelligence platform.
! Serve as primary contact for Business Intelligence products and services including awareness of product roadmaps, service offerings, and capabilities.
Thought Leadership

! Maintain current knowledge of advancements, innovations, and changes in technologies around Business Intelligence and adopt relevant tools into Brooks’ platforms.
! With support of data & analytics leadership, shepherd the architectural evolution of Brooks’ Business Intelligence patterns, frameworks, systems, and platforms including defining best practices, standards, principles, and policies.
! With support of data & analytics leadership, develop a Business Intelligence strategy and roadmap.
Overall

! Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand and prioritize business intelligence needs.

Qualifications:
! Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
! 7+ years of experience working in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role
! Must have a strong background in data analysis, preparing reports, and data visualizations
! Experience building intuitive and actionable dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions using moder business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
! Experience administering Tableau in production environments
! Ability to take a problem, requirement, or strategy; research solution and take from concept to implementation for desired outcomes
! Proficient project management skills, ability to drive efforts end-to-end
! Ability to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines when work on multiple projects
! Communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to build consensus by clearly communicating and presenting information
! Ability to lead, coach, motivate, inspire, and influence teams
! Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate across teams and disciplines
! Familiarity with data blending tools such as Alteryx
! Familiarity with common security measures for business intelligence systems
! Working knowledge of cloud environments (Azure and AWS) and database systems (especially Snowflake) preferred
! Strong communication and presentation experience
