Your Job:

Digital Products is a dynamic team of product, technology and design specialists who are passionate about the Brooks Running customer. At Brooks, we are all about the run and the runner, and it is our job to figure out what they need and apply it to our digital experiences.

The Senior User Experience Designer envisions how runners interact with Brooks through our digital properties You will develop design strategies that include runner insights and site analytics, bringing that vision to life via prototypes, mock-ups, wireframe flows, and updates to the pattern library. You will have an influential voice for our users’ experience with our internal teams and will guide digital products’ design approach on highly impactful features that empower the runner to make shopping decisions with confidence.

You will work side by side with a talented group of business owners, product managers, creative visual designers, marketing, and software developers in an agile environment to develop product concepts, define interaction standards and UX priorities, and provide context and consultation as we build and launch to market.

Responsibilities:
! Reducing customer friction through the shopping journey, increasing engagement & conversion, reducing needs for customer support
! Contribute to roadmaps, project estimates, design strategies. Making decisions about design options and research outcomes to present to stakeholders, as well as decisions about Brooks’ design pattern library updates and maintenance
! Partner with other teams (development, marketing, E-commerce, product management) on a product roadmap, to create short-term solutions and long-term product goals that align business objectives with user needs.
! End-to-end UX design on complex or highly impactful digital experiences: Create detailed wireframes, user flows, interaction prototypes, user personas, customer journeys, design specs, and visual design
! Help define a holistic product experience across all surfaces and across channels. Demonstrate leadership across multiple product features and enhancements and across teams in Brooks.
! Plan and conduct user research and present study findings to cross-functional teams, as well as overseeing research conducted by other team members.
! Use your analytical skills and strategic perspective to identify trends & recommend solutions that will help improve the user experience.
! Work within a design system and be able to help evolve the system to meet the needs of our users.
! Quickly move projects forward while championing the user experience - applying domain expertise, design principles, and research.
! Look for opportunities for the UX team to help solve user and business problems in unique and innovative ways, develop relationships across teams to get opportunities onto the UX roadmap.
! Utilize a data-driven and research approach to inform decisions on the design strategy for various products, helping drive alignment and roadmap prioritization across business lines
! Work with senior management to prioritize work across a roadmap; solicit and react to feedback, weigh inputs and priorities, and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve healthy debate
! Lead workshops outside of the UX team per business needs
! Mentor and contribute to the development of other UX designers

Qualifications:
! Portfolio showcasing skills that demonstrate your experience in the human-centered design process, ability to deliver exceptional interaction and visual designs, and system-thinking expertise. Please add your online portfolio link at the top of your resume when applying.
! Bachelor's degree in User-Centered Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or related field.
! 5+ years of UX design experience
! Experience conducting research and using data to develop unique and valuable insights and presenting those as opportunities to stakeholders to drive product and feature creation.
! Able to lead the design of complex interactions. Help define the product experience across all surfaces and across channels. Demonstrated leadership across product feature design.
! Experience with using and maintaining design systems and patterns.
! Able to present your work across teams and with leadership, with excellent visual, written, and verbal communication.
! Able to articulate the problem you are solving, communicate your designs, and create a compelling narrative around the work you are doing
! Demonstrated experience in planning for and delivering experience projects
! Expert proficiency with common design and prototyping tools (Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma).
! Understanding of web performance and optimizations best practices.
! Has a general understanding of HTML/CSS.
! Experience working with diverse teams in a dynamic and growing environment
! Ability to work on disparate features and manage them accordingly
