Your Job:

As the Manager, Middleware and Integration Technologies, you will be a part of the team responsible for delivering the global enterprise applications portfolio and the overall strategic technology roadmap for our major enterprise applications including ERP, Warehouse Management, Order Management as well as integrations with applications across the enterprise such as EDI B2B & B2C EComm sites, Product systems, and Marketplaces.

Given Brooks has a buy vs. build strategy, you will lead a team charged with integrating and supporting systems selected to meet the needs of the business. This means effectively integrating the core applications used at Brooks for Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes, with complementary and often cloud-based solutions to provide seamless, innovative and feature rich technology that supports the robust growth of our expanding global business.

Your Responsibilities:
! Technology and Service Delivery Leadership
! Strategic:
! Own the Middleware and Integrations technical roadmap reflecting business enablement as well as technology upgrade initiatives. Develop a strong understanding of projects/initiatives that are initiated elsewhere in the organization but have an impact on the middleware integrations or resources and vice-versa
! Own the Services Catalog and delivery in your area - operational execution, scalability and availability of middleware infrastructure and any middleware facilitated interfaces. Ensure that all integrations/interfaces critical to the business are always operational
! Own the resource / staffing plan and its execution to support delivery on projects as well as operations management of all middleware infrastructure and integrations.
! Lead the delivery of solutions contributing to a multi-year solutions roadmap supporting key company goals and stakeholder objectives
! Lead the execution and delivery of the integration architecture patterns at Brooks, ensuring continuous quality
! Serve as a liaison for your team to other Brooks IT and business leaders & teams for cross-functional project delivery
! Day-to-day:
! Participate in the selection and implementation activities for new enterprise applications. Provide buy vs. build assessments and work with Legal and Security teams during the procurement process for new products and technology vendors
! Participate in Enterprise Applications intake, planning and design review sessions. Partner closely with architects and subject matter experts, providing innovative design input when developing/managing architecture patterns for new integration use cases and championing the execution of these patterns through delivery
! Conduct/ensure detailed design, architecture and code reviews with your team and architects, as necessary. Manage the delivery of technical documentation including system context diagrams, functional, technical specifications and data interfaces, further solidifying team’s understanding of the design
! Ensure system capacity and performance are sufficient for evolving needs. Ensure technology is monitored and maintained to ensure maximum access and peak performance. Collaborate with the IT Engineering, Cloud Services, Infrastructure, and Security teams & Vendor partners to ensure that the infrastructure, access, and application performance is unblocked and adequate
! Champion operational change management. Develop a strong understanding of projects or service outages impacting your service area and ensuring service impact is agreed to/minimized and well communicated
! Own the incident, request, change and escalation processes, ensuring high levels of performance in these processes, accurate reporting, and establishing service improvement activities when required
! Collaborate with Digital Products, Data & Analytics, and other technology teams globally to proactively identify and address cross-functional project resource dependencies
! Ensure that applications adhere to internal and external compliance & security standards. Ensure readiness and support for vendor and 3rd party audits
! Vendor Management:
! Actively work with software vendors (Infor, Softeon, IBM, DHL, FedEx) to ensure access to latest innovation from these vendors and incorporate business critical features and system updates in your roadmap and backlog
! Actively monitor SLAs with production support vendors for SQL Server, AWS, and other platform support for the middleware
! Manage relationships with technology providers and develop new relationships for changing business needs, for example, AWS, etc.
! Budget Management:
! Operate to planned budget to ensure department and company goals are met
! Provide input into the quarterly reforecasting process for spend in your area
! Learn Brooks requirements around budget planning and capex documentation to garner resources necessary to evolve the company’s solutions
! People Leadership:
! Lead, mentor, and coach a team of analysts, developers and engineers who design, implement, test, operate, support and secure applications and integrations across Brooks’ enterprise
! Hire, develop, and manage the performance of the team using Brooks’ HR processes
! Manage intake, staffing, work assignments and timelines. Provide team capacity inputs for project resource planning
! Educate and elevate your team’s understanding around the architecture considerations and patterns at Brooks
! Create and foster a service-oriented, highly collaborative culture

Your Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience. Additional higher education and/or technical certifications a plus!
! 7+ years of Java programming experience, including:
! Exposure to integration technologies and development concepts such as – EDI, XML, JAVA Spring Boot, Web Services, APIs, etc. Integration Lead/Architect experience is highly desired.
! Experience designing, implementing, configuring/customizing, and maintaining application integrations leveraging a cloud hosted &/or on-premises middleware (Infor ION/Infor OS, Mulesoft, TIBCO, etc.) and deep understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure); management/administration of database technologies such as SQL Server, MangoDB; server and webserver platforms such as Windows, Linux, Apache Tomact, IIS, etc.Interfacing with tier 1 supply chain technologies: ERP, WMS, OMS with various external
