We expect this position to conclude in January 2019. Brooks is looking for a temporary talented, motivated and driven warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for you if you are safety-conscious, have a pleasant, outgoing attitude and want to excel in a warehouse environment. 2nd Shift: Mon - Tues: 10am - 8:30 pm Wed - Thurs: 12pm - 8:30 pm Fri: 12pm to 4pm 3rd Shift: Sun - Thurs: 10pm - 6:30 am Your Responsibilities • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs • Accurately and efficiently pick merchandise (footwear, apparel and accessories for the runner) and deliver packages to ship stations • Accurately and efficiently ship merchandise (includes boxing, labeling, sorting cartons & shrink wrapping pallets) • Conduct timely and accurate receipt on inbound product (includes offloading and put away) • Accurately and efficiently process customer returns (includes re-bagging/re-boxing of product, writing up the RA, entering RA into system & put away of product) • Accurately and efficiently perform VAS (value added services) to product as required by our customer • Comply with all safety & FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) requirements • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed • Electronically scan products using a RF scanner • Accurately match numbers & letters • Load and unload trailers • Open and close dock doors • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Communicate with associates from other shifts • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable) • Operate box-making machine (where applicable) • Other projects and tasks as assigned by Lead/Supervisor Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred • Minimum of 1 year warehousing or material-handling (using hand/power equipment and hand truck) equipment experience, required • Proficient reading and writing skills and ability to follow directions (attention to detail), required • Ability to work independently, provide customer service, deal effectively with others, multi-task, show organizational skills, flexibility, excellent with numbers and time management skills, required • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., required (where applicable by job function) • Ability to use typical warehouse processing equipment (eg: scan guns, RF scanners, etc.), required • Flexible to work overtime when necessary, required • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions, required • Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location, complete employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening, required • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: The associate must regularly lift and /or move up to 50lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. • While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. • Ability to operate reach-truck, stock-picker, pallet jack, etc. to transport items within the warehouse & be able to pass forklift certification • Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team player. • Maintain a good attendance record • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
