Your Job: As the Senior Manager of Industrial Engineering you will report to the Sr. Director of Footwear Sourcing and will be responsible for partnering with factories and Brooks offices in Asia to optimize manufacturing processes, set direction for the future of footwear manufacturing strategy, lead optimization efforts to reduce costs, increase productivity and maintain and improve quality and influence factories to adopt and utilize automation and improved manufacturing techniques via Industrial Engineering techniques. You will partner with the Sr. Director of Footwear to define optimization and automation strategies as a part of the Brooks ‘Future of Footwear Manufacturing’ strategy. Your Responsibilities: - Plan and manage all aspects of Industrial Engineering Activities in Asia. - Lead and oversee studies in operations to maximize work flow and special utilization. - Recommend acquiring the most appropriate equipment to optimize, expand, or improve production lines. - Builds strong relationship with various levels of leadership in both Brooks and factories. Implement lean strategy deployment and process improvement within Brooks footwear manufacturing partners - Facilitate change by influencing people and organizations in a matrixed environment. - Influence factories and offices to review and refine manufacturing processes to assure efficiency, productivity, quality and cost - Lead efforts to optimize processes and sub-processes within the manufacturing of footwear - Partner with Senior Manager of Lean Manufacturing to drive strategy to identify specific processes and sub-processes to target for optimization and automation efforts - Evaluate factory efforts to comply with and support optimization and automation efforts and record and report on results. Create and execute plans for improvement when results are not meeting desired outcomes. - Collaborate with Development, Commercialization, Production and QA Teams to ensure product and process objectives are aligned - Influence factories to staff and support optimization and automation efforts - Partner with Senior Manager of Lean Manufacturing to identify opportunities for process and product improvement - Support, documents and substantiates process improvements to quantify benefits and report results to Operations Management team. - Plan and oversee layout of equipment and production facilities within footwear factory to maximize productivity and efficiencies in conjunction with factory leadership. - Oversee cycle time, bottleneck analysis and develop and improve work methods - Lead and influence functional and operational managers to improve productivity, quality, throughput and output - Oversee direct labor/indirect labor ergonomic studies Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or 10 years of equivalent experience in the field - 10+ years of experience leading industrial engineering efforts in the manufacturing realm, footwear industry experience preferred - 5+ years of experience conducting time and measurement studies - 5+ years of experience managing personnel and leading teams focused on industrial engineering, optimization or lean efforts. Proven success in driving, leading and setting standards for industrial engineering in manufacturing - General assembly process knowledge - General knowledge of footwear manufacturing - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication. - Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company. - Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another. - Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.” - Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary. - Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community. - Embraces and lives the Brooks values! - Travel 25% (Domestically/Internationally) Reports to: Sr. Director of Footwear Sourcing Department: Footwear Sourcing #95 Position Location: Linh Trung II, Thu Duc District, Ho Chi Minh City Apply for this job
