As part of the Information Technology team, your role is to deliver a modern data foundation that enables analytics throughout Brooks in support of enhanced runner experiences, business decision-making, and operational excellence. You will lead the creation and implementation of a strategy and road-map to transition our legacy data warehouse to the cloud to enable the exploitation of new data sources and analytics at scale. Your objective is to enable a culture of curiosity and improve data literacy throughout the organization as an evangelist serving as a source of inspiration and expertise on our data and analytical tools. By enabling Brooks to become a data-driven organization, we will continue to outpace our competitors and serve the running community with the best gear to enable everyone to run and be active. Responsibilities: • Lead a team of engineers and data business analysts to deliver the foundation for enterprise analytical data. Your most important role is to develop a high-performing and cohesive team. • Define and implement data technology architectures and designs globally to enable analytic strategies • Enable business use cases that drive increased revenue and/or operational efficiency. • Build partnerships and alignment with cross-divisional partners to implement data strategies. • Work in a distributed model where analytical skill reside throughout the Brooks organization. • Implement data governance processes to ensure data quality and common understanding. • Stay current with industry trends and innovation in the data and analytics space. • Manage relationships with technology vendors. Direct buy vs build assessments and work with Legal and Security teams during the procurement process for new products and technology vendors. • Ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements such as PCI and GDPR. • Act as a technical leader within the larger IT organization. • Collaborate with the IT management team to effectively allocate resources across prioritized work. • Define and implement processes that enable effective delivery of new capabilities. • Plan and track your team’s operating budget. Apply Brooks requirements around budget planning and CapEx documentation to garner resources necessary to evolve the team to meet business objectives. • Create a healthy collaborative environment that allows your team to thrive. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. • 10+ years’ experience working with data, databases, and data warehouses. • 5+ years’ experience leading and mentoring technical teams including software engineers. • Experience implementing data warehouse solutions using public cloud services such as Snowflake or Amazon Redshift. • Extensive background supporting business teams (Operations, Sales, Product) with data to enable analytics. • Experience implementing modern data movement techniques and architectures. • Prior experience leading an organization through transformational change. • Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals. • Experience developing team-level annual budgets. • Experience in technology partner selection, contract negotiation and vendor management. • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. • Proven presentation and facilitation skills. • Experience working with Tableau a plus. • Experience working with the Amperity customer data platform a plus. • A passion for running and the running lifestyle is a plus.
