This position will help drive our company forward by proactively partnering with business leaders to evaluate investment opportunities, conduct cost/benefit analyses and plan for the company’s future. In addition, the financial analyst will monitor, analyze and report on progress towards budget targets and work with business partners to identify and explain variances to the plan. This position will also contribute to special projects, typically involving the analysis and research of business issues, to provide management with valuable insights that support our corporate growth and profitability. Responsibilities: • Work closely with multiple functional areas to provide support for forecasting cycles including tracking and communicating progress toward goals and recommending course corrections as necessary. • Participate in the design, development and on-going analysis of financial reports including management reports, variance analysis tools and monthly financial statements. • Provide analysis and guidance regarding the return on investment from new product development opportunities, marketing strategies, sales initiatives and other ad hoc projects. • Assist with the annual strategic planning process through the development of financial models and the compilation of financial projections. • Assist in the planning and execution of operational cost analysis to enhance profitability and improve process efficiency. • Develop, design, upgrade and maintain processes and systems for forecasting and reporting. • Assist in ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by management and business partners. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis; previous experience building complex financial models. • Proactive and detail-oriented with a proven track record of fostering relationships across functions and levels. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable and strategic recommendations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication. • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and the execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another. • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary. • Prior experience with Adaptive Insights planning tool a plus. • Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community. • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
