As Brooks’ Market Intelligence Analyst, you will inform strategic decision-making efforts—including insights into the market, competitor landscape, and broader industry trends. You will gather and analyze market data, conduct trend and scenario analysis, and produce business analytics that support strategic planning efforts and improve the development and execution of global business initiatives. This role will partner with Brooks leadership to provide an enhanced understanding of the industry, market attractiveness, and competitive landscape and collaborate with senior leadership, sales, marketing and product teams to research new market opportunities and to assist in determining their value and fit with Brooks long-term strategic objectives. Responsibilities: • Global Market Sizing: • Build models to gauge market size and growth potential of existing and new markets. • Evaluate market trends and forecast ecosystem changes. Market Share Analysis: • Conduct an ongoing evaluation of Brooks’ market position across channels and categories. Understand market drivers, growth rates, industry trends, and market forces. • Perform thorough, systematic analysis of the general social economic and political environment, legal, and regulatory issues. Competitive Intelligence: • Profile the competitive environment, providing insights that support strategic decision-making and for use in internal presentations by senior leadership. • Evaluate competitors’ financial performance relative to Brooks’ results. • Track and assess competitors’ strategy (where they are looking to grow, innovations they are investing in, international expansion plans, etc.). Reporting: • Author quarterly market analysis document. • Publish monthly internal market intel reports. • Proactively make recommendations to leadership regarding key intelligence items that require further study. • Share findings that provide actionable insights with business partners via written and oral communication methods, including presenting at quarterly leadership meetings. • Perform ad hoc research as needed. Market/Company Knowledge: • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of markets and trends through studying industry reports, market research, data manipulation, financial modeling, and analysis. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leveraging them across the company where appropriate. • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal customers to identify emerging business needs and challenges. Manage vendor and trade association relationships. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and 3+ years of professional work experience in business and financial planning, reporting, business analysis, or strategy. • Advanced skills in MS Excel and in working with large and complex data-sets. • Intellectual curiosity and a desire to find creative approaches to problem solving. • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and the capability to build trust and respect within the organization. • Possess the ability to execute a wide variety of tasks against strict deadlines and to work in a fast-paced, team environment. • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another. • Strong self-starter – ability to take on and complete projects with minimal direction. • A positive attitude and enthusiasm to drive operational results. • A passion for running and understanding industry dynamics. • Embrace and live the Brooks values!
