As the Key Account Sales Manager at Brooks, you will be responsible for sales performance of regional and national key accounts across family footwear, athletic specialty, general sporting goods, internet and other channels of distribution. Your primary focus will be to establish sales goals, strategies, and budgets relative to these accounts to assure goal achievement through direct contact with buyers, merchandisers and the Brooks sales reps for each account. Imagine the fun you will have traveling to meetings and trade shows to achieve sales goals. Requirements: • Develop and implement strategic and seasonal sales forecasts, product sales plans and annual revenue goals specifically for Family Footwear channel. In addition, take on other key accounts that require strategic leading and planning across national account business. • You will lead and communicate our closeout business model This involves overseeing the sales forecast and budget for our closeout channel and managing and communicating unit availability to reps and closeout accounts. • Contribute to developing strategic sales programs that drive sell through at retail and position Brooks as the leader in performance running. • Manage account P&L to insure key account profitability. • Lead all seasonal sell in presentations to ensure backlog growth and increase market share at all Family Footwear and designated Key Accounts. • Manage and develop the sales rep for assigned key accounts, including ensuring the sales rep is managing current orders, obtaining future seasonal orders, maintaining relationships with all relevant stakeholders at each account and assisting in ongoing forecasting and revenue planning. • Take an active role in retail promotions at all National Accounts. Work closely with Manager, Retail Marketing to develop seasonal marketing programs. • Participate in planning and execution of product education events in conjunction with Sales management and marketing. • Develop and maintain good customer rapport and a positive image. • Coordinate and work with Product Management and Marketing on product issues, improvements on existing products, new product requirements and competitive information. • Maintain current awareness of competitors, competitive product lines and programs, with a strong understanding of the Family Footwear retail landscape. • Complete and submit on a timely basis expense reports, business activity of each assigned account and key account strategy development. • Lead designated Key account business and special projects. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or related field • 5+ years’ experience in sales, sales management and/or key account sales • Retail Sales experience preferred • Strategic account management experience, with a good understanding of Family Footwear channel preferred. • Excellent knowledge of computers and ability to work with programs such as Excel, Power Point and Word. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as it relates to understand and identify customer needs. • Strong presentation skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company. • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still maintaining the larger, strategic direction. • Ability to anticipate how decisions can impact our customers as well as all other external and internal stakeholders. • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary. • Travel 30-40%. • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
