The Brooks Brand Creative Team imagines/designs/curates/manifests creative campaigns that define and express the Brooks brand to runners across the globe. Video, social, print, retail, packaging, web, email—even porta potties—are our canvas. You will be a member of a growing and incredibly talented, in-house creative department. You will work on projects that span the gamut, but your focus will be on ecommerce digital media, including web, email, and social. Envision the impact you will have as you bring your creative vision, talent for storytelling and runner insight to the voice of the Brooks brand. You possess an understanding of products and how to romance them, combined with a proven record of organizing and implementing complex deliverables. Responsibilities: • Write copy and stories in the voice of the Brooks brand, understanding the particular needs of email, web and social media copy. • Bring to life the balance of irreverence and wit that gives our brand its humanity • Implement conversion-oriented calls to action while taking dense technological concepts and distilling them into a conversational tone • Be self-sufficient, motivated, and very organized • Develop and implement standard methodologies for headers, web body copy, etc. • Take feedback to heart, process it, and return with workable and realistic solutions • Create the copy content for our foundational brand elements and partner with creative design to fully bring our brand story to life • Be authentic. Our audience can spot a phony – it’s up to us to make sure we’re reflecting the real athlete • Build Brooks into the most-loved running brand and find new and better ways to connect with runners • Lead multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the team delivers extraordinary creative on time, and on budget • Build and develop relationships with other departments at Brooks to gain and maintain a current and deep understanding of what drives the brand, business and products. • Balance “Run Happy” brand ethos with sales-oriented communication • Turn briefs into moving work partnering with Design and present work to partners Qualifications: • A commerce-oriented online portfolio demonstrating creative experience. Please add your online portfolio link at the top of your resume when applying. • Bachelor’s degree in related field or additional years of relevant experience, graduate portfolio school certificate is preferred • 3+ years’ experience crafting stories and writing copy that captivates and motivates people to take action • Experience with site publishing technology • Experience with SEO optimization • Experience creating assets for A/B testing • Thorough understanding of the personalities and lifestyles of runners • Experience balancing creative vision with business acumen and crafting authentic content across social media, video, and other channels • Excellence at brand development and expression along with the proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple, dynamic assignments at once • Exceptionally high bar and a conviction that details matter • Fast and efficient, with project/time management skills; committed to meeting deadlines • Skillful at forming relationships with a genuine hunger for listening to stakeholders to gain understanding • Able to navigate all levels of the organization seamlessly and give leadership to diverse teams to achieve necessary results • Possess a great attitude, sense of humor, and passion to live the Brooks brand Brooks is an equal employment opportunity employer and strives to comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination based on any protected class.
