As the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure you will lead a team that designs, implements and supports company data and voice networks, servers, desktops/laptops, collaboration solutions and help desk worldwide. You will be accountable for the company’s technology infrastructure architecture and make technology recommendations for future planning and development. You and your team ensures IT delivers high-quality and timely service to employees worldwide. Responsibilities: • People Leadership: • Lead, mentor and coach a global team of managers, engineers, analysts and specialists who design, implement, operate, support and secure Brooks’ global technology infrastructure. • Hire, develop, and manage the performance of the team using Brooks HR processes. • Member of the Information Technology leadership team. • Lead the architecture review board from technology onboarding review through implementation and operationalization. • Create a service-oriented, highly-collaborative culture. • Technology Leadership: • Define the technology road-map and architecture standards for infrastructure. • Ensure standards are implemented consistently to provide excellent performance and security. • Lead the planning, design, implementation, operation and and support of enterprise services including: • o Workplace services: PC and Mac hardware and software, printers, phones • o User access services: user provisioning, Active Directory • o Collaboration services: Email, SharePoint, audio/video conferencing • o Global file services: File shares, backup and recovery • o Network services: wide-area, local-area and wireless networks • o Servers for enterprise business applications and business intelligence solutions in hosted and cloud environments • Lead implementation of processes throughout IT to provide effective service using the ITIL model. • Oversee help desk services providing tier one support to employees. • Manage team work assignments and timelines. • Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards for global information technology infrastructures and computer systems operations. • Define and maintain availability and performance service levels for network and related services. • Identify opportunities in our current technology and support processes and apply knowledge of industry trends and best practices to improve service to our employees. • Collaborate with business leaders to discuss systems requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. • Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure applications, systems, and network infrastructure are secured. • Hire and manage information technology personnel and/or contractors to design, develop, implement, operate, secure and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks and systems across the enterprise. • Ensure system capacity and performance are sufficient for evolving needs; identifies any gaps and provides recommendations for solutions. Ensure system deficiencies are addressed. • Ensure technology is monitored and maintained to ensure maximum access and peak performance. • Manage relationships with technology providers and develop new relationships for changing business needs. • Ensure written standard operating procedures and policies are available to provide guidance to IT team and vendors. • Make recommendations for purchase of technology resources, review and negotiate contracts, and ensure vendor performance. • Research current and potential resources and services to meet technology road-map deliverables. • Ensure that systems, networks, procedures and policies adhere to internal and external compliance standards. • Budget Management: • Builds operational and capital budgets for infrastructure and contributes to the overall IT budget. • Operates to planned budget to ensure department and company goals are met. • Learn Brooks requirements around budget planning and CapEx documentation to garner resources necessary to evolve the company’s infrastructure requirements. • Perform other related projects as required. Qualification: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant major and/or Information Technology/Systems experience. Additional higher education and/or technical certifications a plus! • ITIL Certification a plus. • 5+ years of proven success managing a team of IT professionals in a fast-paced, demanding environment. • 7+ years of experience managing enterprise information technology and computer systems. • A high degree of analytic ability and inductive thinking required to devise new, non-standard approaches to highly intricate, technically complex problems. • Experience working with teams using agile development practices and integrating them with ITIL and ITSM frameworks. • Strong experience with and understanding of the following technologies: • Windows Server, VMWare and IBM iSeries (AS400) • Cloud solutions such as Azure and Amazon Web Services • Workplace services: PC hardware and software, printers, phones • User access services: user provisioning, Active Directory • Collaboration services: Microsoft Office 365 - Email, SharePoint, video conferencing • Global file services: File shares, backup and recovery • Network services: wide-area, local-area and wireless networks including firewalls, routers and switches • Experience turning business requirements into solution. • Talent for analyzing and communicating alternatives, risks and benefits with the goal of reaching decisions or resolving problems. • Experience working in a global environment with colleagues from different cultures. • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and email software. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication, required. • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company, required. • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another, required. • Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities. • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary, required. • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
