Your Job: As an HR Manager you’ll play a key role in influencing how people work across multiple countries (Vietnam, Taiwan, China and Indonesia) and be responsible for supporting Brooks’ talent management efforts in our growing business. You will bring intention in linking talent to opportunities and improving manager capabilities. You will balance the requirement to think strategically as well as roll up your sleeves and dive deep into practical application. You spend much of your day advising and influencing country and functional leaders through strategic consultative efforts to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of global HR programs. These programs include, but are not limited to Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Talent Identification, Org Design, Performance Management, Cultural Strengths, Employee Relations, and Compensation Management. You will directly lead an HR team member in Vietnam and an outsourced HR service in China. Your Responsibilities: Talent and Culture Leadership - *Develop strategies essential to grow talent capabilities and shape company culture including: Talent Management, Performance Management, Employee Recognition, and Learning & Development Programs. *Communicate HR initiatives and serve as a liaison between partner groups and HR functional areas regarding service delivery. Maintain an open line of communication with managers and employees on HR service-related issues. *Provide advice and influence on business unit restructures, workforce planning, leadership succession planning, and retention planning. Work with business leaders on change management. *Tracks trends in employee behaviors and shares insights and recommendations with the HR leadership team and local management for action. *Recruit for top Footwear and Sourcing talent to staff our locations in Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and Indonesia. Program Leadership - *Work across HR disciplines (Compensation, Operations, People Programs & Recruiting) to ensure an integrated and high quality delivery of programs. *Build project plans that align to HR strategies and track milestones and report on the people/project deliverables. Own communications to project members and stakeholders on progress, issues, and risks including regular, status updates, minutes of meetings, etc. *Develop and incorporate HR and business metrics to assess internal and external talent needs and trends and use that data to inform HR strategies. Compliance Leadership - *Provide advice, counsel and support in resolving employee performance issues, disputes and other sensitive matters. *Lead and resolve potentially complex employee issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. *Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements in all countries represented pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees. *Oversee the communications and activities between Brooks and local governments agencies to ensure proper work permits and visas are attained for global assignment employees or non-local hires. *Establish policies/handbook for each location we operate in Asia and regularly review and update as needed. Compensation & Payroll - *Oversee the reconciliation and approval of all employee compensation to our outsourced payroll providers in Asia. Partner with each provider to ensure compliance in each country, appropriate payment to our employees and dedication to agreed upon timelines. Work closely with the Finance team to approve and communicate funding of each monthly payroll. *Partner with Brooks’ corporate compensation team to collect market data, provide insights to regional competitiveness, and handle compensation decisions. Assist leadership during the annual performance and compensation process in using the appropriate tools, recommending promotions or adjustments and overall communication. *Define and implement benefits & perks for our Asia locations. Qualifications *Fluent in Vietnamese and English is required. *Bachelors’ degree in HR or related field. *7 years forward-thinking work experience in human resources. *3 years management experience. *Knowledge of current trends and practices relating to HR Operations in ASIA. *Experience in a business consultancy and/or mentoring roles with managers. *Excellent social and influence skills with experience establishing credibility and working relationships at all levels across the organization. *Strong program management and facilitation skills. *Proven effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication. *Ability to travel domestically and internationally. *Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community. *Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
