Your Job: As the Brooks DC Facilities Manager, you are responsible for managing facilities and safety activities to ensure that all Brooks employees have a safe work environment that enables them to meet production goals and SLAs. You will manage the DC Facilities Technicians to ensure efficient and safe operations. You will oversee and direct the timely and accurate completion of work orders to ensure day-to-day maintenance of the facility and equipment and ensure smooth operations across the facility. You will manage and maintain vendor and service provider relationships and establish new relationships as needed to support operations. As the DC Facilities Manager, you will track, monitor, and report all OSHA related activities. Your Responsibilities: Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers while setting clear expectations (SLA’s), goals, and standards Select vendors, negotiate terms for services and manage activities related to outside vendors. Create reporting to monitor quality and performance of vendors and service providers and drive corrective action for any quality, service, or performance deficiencies. Manage all safety practices to ensure compliance and safe operations across the DC. Ensure OSHA, Safety, and Fire Protection maintenance activities and reporting are completed on time and accurately. Ensure building compliance: building appearance (interior and exterior) is up to standards, (including Safety and Compliance, Energy Management, design concepts, maintenance processes, facility cleanliness and building functionality). Ensure the Facilities team is adequately trained and equipped so the preventative and ongoing maintenance programs can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner. Establish and enforce safety standards and provide training, outreach, education and assistance and ensure legal compliance regarding frequency of safety trainings. Lead, coach and direct the Facilities team to meet business and safety goals. Lead and oversee the maintenance and inspection of all equipment in the DC. Ensure all repairs are addressed immediately, especially in instances of personal safety. Partner with HR on any actions needed for safety incidents, including preparation of records and reports Oversee planning and implementation of facility improvements and expansions. Administer the safety onboarding for all new hire orientations. Initiate and follow through on projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs. Provide 24/7 response for any building/facility needs (on call for security alarms, fire alarms, police, etc.) Participate in the annual budgeting process by making recommendations for site services. Other duties and projects as required. Your Scope: People: 1-3 direct reports Units: 10+ million/annually Facilities: Global Fulfillment, FTZ, C-TPAT Systems: Microsoft Office, Winchester WCS, Lightning Pick Qualifications: 1. Educational experience to include AA, or equivalent experience, required 2. Min of 6+ years’ experience in a distribution center/facilities environment, required 3. Min of 4+ years of experience leading employees and facilities operations in a fulfillment environment, required 4. Experience and knowledge of safety and operational procedures in a warehouse environment, required 5. Understanding of OSHA and L&I compliance standards, required 6. Experience with oversight of multiple distribution/fulfillment centers, a plus 7. Experience staffing and planning facilities operations for a high-volume fulfillment center, required 8. Technical knowledge and experience with primary building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, life safety and other), preferred. 9. Understanding and experience operating as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
