Your Job: The Sales Event Specialist will lead the execution of key sales events such as Bi-Annual Sales Meeting, Key Account Sales Meeting and Bi-Annual Symposiums.You will project manage multiple Sales events and create a world-class brand experience for our partners and internal stakeholders. You are the go-to person for our 40+ external rep force. You are a key partner to the VP of Sales assisting in meeting execution, sales representative communication and overall sales team support. Responsibilities: • Accountable for strategy execution for the successful delivery of wholesale marketing events in North America, including bi-annual Sales Meeting, bi-annual Rep Advisory Board Meeting, Bi-Annual Symposium and Key Sales and SRA events. • Responsibilities include: budget ownership, site selection, cost projection, contract negotiation, vendor relationship management, coordination of travel arrangements, on-site event management, as well as administrative functions around attendee communication and registration, planning documents and post-event reporting. • Manage the planning of yearly sales rep training sessions which includes National Acct Sales Rep training sessions and Bi-Annual SRA Symposiums. Key stakeholder in agenda and logistics management • Lead the cross-functional committees responsible for planning event logistics and defining the content and agenda for the bi-annual Sales Meetings. • Develop the project plans and manage project execution for sales events. • Work cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Footwear, Apparel, Creative, IT) to ensure successful delivery of events. • Support the daily activity of the internal National Account and Specialty Retail Sales Teams including processing of expenses, acting as the main point of contact and coordinating communication with our external sales reps. • Key resource to the VP of Sales which includes calendar management, meeting execution and time management • Partner with the VP of Sales to drive culture initiatives across Sales and help build team integration and collaboration to deliver desired business results. • Apparel and Footwear Sample planning, which includes order and inventory management for internal Sales Team and external Sales Reps, M3 Data entry; marketing order placement, seeding and sample ordering • Manage the race bib program for retailers; write PO’s, communicate with retailers, sales reps and vendor • Facilitation of VISA requests for internal travel for sales managers and key customers. • Prepare sales collateral for sales presentations (PowerPoint, copying, binding). Qualifications: • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred • 3+ years event planning experience • Prior administrative experience, preferable within sales and/or marketing • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; Willingness to learn new programs as necessary • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication. • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company. • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all the pieces fit together and affect one another. • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and readily shift priorities • Flexibility to handle unexpected projects and a demonstrated willingness to help others • Works well in a corporate office setting and is viewed as a true team player • Ability to work independently and autonomously • Ability to multi-task • Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.” • Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary. • Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community. • Embraces and lives the Brooks values!
