Your Job:
Join our small and efficient web development team with a focus on ensuring a high standard of quality and top performance in everything we release. The QA Software Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining a testing framework utilizing both automated and manual strategies to identify defects and performance bottlenecks across a continually growing number of web properties and integration points. This is a highly technical role where you will establish test harness architecture and Quality Assurance best practices. You will split your time between writing code and collaborating with both technical and non-technical groups within the Brooks eCommerce team. Successful candidates will enjoy solving technical problems and establishing testing strategies and processes.
Responsibilities:
! Design and execute test cases that factor in the real-world complexity of enterprise software.
! Maintain and add to automation test suite utilizing Selenium and Node JS.
! Execute ad-hoc testing for end-to-end product scenarios.
! Review and contribute to product design to ensure testability, quality, and high performance.
! Provide and integrate strategy for deciding between manual and automated test coverage for each release.
! Lead, design and develop a flexible testing harness that can be used across all of Brooks eCommerce web properties and vendor integration points.
! Collaborate with eCommerce technical and non-technical teams to establish reliable and repeatable test processes.
! Keep up-to-date on current technology and tools available and make recommendations to evolve/scale our current processes.
Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with desired focus in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
! 5+ years of hands on testing/development experience, with an in-depth understanding of different levels and areas of testing
! Proficiency with testing frameworks like Selenium an Node JS based testing software.
! Successful candidates will have a proven history of working very well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of experience and seniority
! An engineering background, enabling you to fully understand technical challenges, in web and mobile technologies
! A proven track record in systematically improving quality in a development environment
! Experience integrating QA processes into a software development lifecycle; an understanding of DevOps practices is a plus
! Experience testing multiple Web browsers and knowledge of browser differences
! Experience working with Agile Scrum delivery teams
! Passionate about software testing, quality, collaboration, and the fitness lifestyle
