At Brooks Sports we are dedicated to inspiring people to run and be active by creating innovative gear that keeps people running. As the Senior Manager, Web Development you will play a key role in the growth of our direct to runner business by managing the team of developers who deliver Brooks’ mobile-first applications globally. You will lead a development staff, as well as work with various third-party technology partners to help us reach our goals. As a successful candidate you will be a key member of our Digital Products management team. You will be an important leader in developing our technology delivery strategy that supports business goals. Your team will take action to deliver on a prioritized roadmap of features and enhancements designed to optimize our digital products in order to create an amazing runner experience.

Responsibilities:
! Develop and manage a team of talented, high-impact software developers as they progress in their careers.
! Lead in the management and delivery of the overall web development project portfolio across several development workstreams.
! Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and to maintain a high degree of technical involvement with your team.
! Establish and manage relationships with development partners and vendors that extend the capabilities of the internal team and provide proper knowledge transfer and opportunities for team learning.
! Lead build vs buy assessments in collaboration with the DP Management team.
! Partner with Legal and Security teams during the procurement process in vetting new technology vendors.
! Build strong collaborative relationships internally with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver and report on digital business goals and KPIs.
! Work to continuously improve our agile development practices.
! Lead development process and capacity improvements and seek opportunities to align with Enterprise IT.
! Engage with department leaders throughout Brooks to understand their strategic needs and participate in the development of IT strategies and roadmap.
! Ensure the needs of all regions, are considered when developing software updates and enhancements.
! Responsible for ensuring designs and code meet requirements for PCI, GDPR, and other applicable regulations and keep up-to-date on the changing landscape of data security.
! Own the planning and tracking of the development team’s operating budget.
! Create an environment that allows your team to thrive, grow and innovate.

Job Requirements:
! Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
! 10+ years experience in information technology for ecommerce enabled sites.
! 5+ years experience managing and coaching a technical team in all phases of their career.
! Expertise in building progressively-enhanced, mobile-first web apps using modular, unit-testable components.
! Proficient in multiple web development technologies such as JavaScript, NodeJS, SCSS, CSS, HTML, Ajax and C# with expert knowledge in a few.
! Adept in the software development process: SDLC, IDE’s, code repositories like Github, QA/Testing environments, build servers and release management.
! Proficient in Agile/SCRUM techniques.
! Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information from non-technical stakeholders, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, negotiate tense situations successfully, and manage and resolve conflict.
! Familiarity with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, the U.S. Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), the European Union Privacy Directive, and GDPR.
! Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience and Sitecore or other CMS technologies is a plus.
! Conversant knowledge of UX best practices and accessibility standards.
! Conversant knowledge of localization/internationalization techniques.
! Experience developing team-level annual budgets.
! Experience in technology partner selection, contract negotiation and vendor management.
! A passion for running and the running lifestyle is a plus.
