Your Job:

The Associate Apparel Graphic Designer (“AAGD”) uses design skills to create original graphic designs that appropriately reflect the brand aesthetic. The AAGD effectively uses computerized systems and hand done artwork in the design process and is comfortable providing appropriate materials to the creative, development and merchandising teams. You will work with the design team to ensure that each graphic meets the category’s product brief and the seasonal design direction. For apparel graphics, the AAGD must create and execute graphic concepts that are brand, channel and account appropriate and meet cost and margin requirements. This role is also responsible for building an awareness of current trends, color, technology, and execution of all types of global running apparel.

Responsibilities:
! Provide design/concept boards to communicate research findings on design, trend and consumer needs for apparel graphics.
! Create artwork that illustrates design concepts and tells stories to the Marketing, Merchandising and Sales teams that reflect the running lifestyle and Brooks brand.
! Create and maintain all art files and transfer correct information to cross functional teams.
! Compile tech packs and other materials to hand off to development for sampling and manufacturing.
! Make necessary changes to designs based on feedback from the Design Director and Apparel Textile Designer.
! Research new graphic techniques and applications that can be used in seasonal product.
! Partner with apparel and accessories designers to ensure that graphic stories and individual graphics enhance the product aesthetic and fit with the overall design.
! Collaborate with the Apparel Textile Designer on event graphics through concept, design, presentation, and partnership with the events marketing team to execute on final products.
! Design template for seasonal decks to be used across apparel team for major milestone meetings
! Collect seasonal stories and imagery. Collaborate with Textile Designer to pass off to PR and Marketing Teams
! Meet all calendar deadlines and deliverables.

Qualifications:
! To be considered, please submit a portfolio of your work along with your application materials
! Degree in graphic design or related field (Bachelor's or portfolio school)
! 2+ years of progressive and technically sophisticated graphic design experience; may be substituted by proven skill based on actual work samples
! Phenomenal design portfolio. Expert knowledge in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are unequivocally necessary
! Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
! Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
! Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
! Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
! Ability to anticipate how a decision made can affect our customers, our partners, our products or other departments’ operations and/or morale; “connecting the dots.”
! Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
! Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community.
