Your job:
As the IP Paralegal, you will be responsible for maintaining a large, global trademark portfolio, communicating with leaders about business changes and business priorities to inform our trademark strategy, and directing outside counsel regarding how to execute our trademark strategy to support the business objectives.
Responsibilities:
! Direct various trademark actions including applications, renewals, oppositions, non-use cancellations and appeals.
! Perform trademark litigation support by gathering and cataloging evidence relevant to legal disputes, collecting and analyzing data, interviewing witnesses, and tracking trademark deadlines.
! Manage the company’s domain name portfolio including acquisition and licensing of domain names and initiation of domain name enforcement activities, including cease and desist letters and UDRP actions.
! Anticipate legal tasks independently and provide practical business advice and legal information on legal topics, escalating to in-house attorneys as needed and in a timely manner.
! Provide reports and metrics for key leaders through dashboard summaries of all trademark and domain name work.
! Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
! Paralegal Certificate a plus
! 2+ years paralegal experience
! IP knowledge and experience a plus
! Excellent written and verbal communication skills
! Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities
! Excellent judgment and decision making
! Strong project management skills and attention to detail
! Comprehend, analyze, and interpret legal provisions
! Ability to be a team player and work well with a variety of personalities
! An eagerness and willingness to help others
