Your Job:

The Senior Manager, Footwear Quality is responsible for creating and implementing the end-to-end quality management strategy and tools for Brooks Footwear. You will create, in conjunction with the Senior Director of Sourcing and Senior VP of Footwear Product, a comprehensive strategy to ensure ‘end to end’ footwear product quality and consistency. This role will drive a “culture of quality” across the organization and maintain a best-in-class quality management system. You will implement and oversee market reponse methodologies related to new product introductions and identify quality standards from raw materials to finished goods production to be executed by the Quality teams in the factories. The position will drive quality excellence for all our footwear products from design to market. This role oversees the orchestration of any quality response that is required globally to ensure the high quality standards of Brooks shoes meet our customers’ expectations.

Responsibilities:
! Develop Brooks’ quality assurance strategy and 3-year roadmap including objectives, goals and target metrics. Gain alignment with senior leadership team and key stakeholders on action plans and timing.
! Benchmark competitors and other industries to detect gaps within our current processes and identify best-in-class practices and approaches that Brooks should leverage.
! Oversee and direct the Asia-based quality teams in our factories in China and Vietnam and eventually Indonesia on protocols and processes in the factories to ensure quality excellence for all footwear throughout the manufacturing process.
! Build the infrastructure, capabilities, and reporting required to scale as business operations expand.
! Develop continuous improvement plans with tier one and tier two vendor senior management and define initiatives at the factory level.
! Lead implementation with tier one and tier two vendors to improve quality assurance and achieve consistent high-quality execution during the production processes at our finished goods and raw material suppliers in Asia.
! Collaborate closely with regional sales and customer service teams, footwear product teams, sourcing, operations and supply chain teams onshore and offshore to ensure consistent product quality in our market delivery to our customers globally.
! Close the information loop between product team (design, development and PLM), manufacturing, distribution, sales and retail to ensure that identified product quality issues are not repeated as the product cycle begins anew.
! Maintain framework for quality data management and analytics to monitor quality performance throughout the supply chain from raw material vendor to finished goods. Define and implement KPIs for quality. Set improvement goals and develop action plans for achieving targets. Revise and improve these standards as necessary.
! Create a technology solution to support an end-to-end quality management system enabling real-time visibility and quality metrics reporting.
! Work closely with the Sr. Manager of Lean Manufacturing and the Sr. Manager of Industrial Engineering to ultilize state-of-the-art quality tools such as CAPA, Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma to establish a culture of quality across the organization.
! Drive process improvements to enhance the operational efficiency and quality consistency, understanding and effectively utilizing technology and quality tools to automate processes.
! Proactively identify learnings that should drive improvements in design and development of future footwear product by footwear design and development teams and share those learnings with the extended product team.
! Partner with the Product Team and third-party entities like INMAR to determine standards for defective products post-production, and to ensure a fair and equitable standard is applied to returned products.
! Lead, mentor and coach a global team. Promote career development and manage the performance of the team using Brooks HR processes.
! Develop the QA talent in our factories. Train team in QA tools, metrics and processes such as Six Sigma.
! Closely collaborate across the business including footwear, sales, marketing, customer service, sourcing and supply chain. Work closely with key contacts and trusted advisors within the Brooks internal community, the DCs, and the retail community to assess quality issues and proactively address the same.

Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field; Master’s degree a plus.
! 10+ years of supply chain, quality or operations work experience in consumer goods
! 5+ years of experience working with Quality Assurance or Quality Control methodologies and systems preferred.
! 5+ years experience managing team
! Ability to work professionally and efficiently within a team and across departments
! Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
! Strategic thinking and planning experience
! Operational excellence focus
! Possesses a broad knowledge of technical and business resources and uses them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources

! Experience preferred with WMS, WIP Visibility Tools
