The Apparel Merchandise Planner is responsible for the performance of apparel programs in Brooks custom shops (Run Happy Shop) in both Specialty and National retail accounts. The Apparel Merchandise Planner will establish sales goals, strategies, buy plans and budgets relative to these accounts to ensure goal achievement through detailed planning with Brooks’ apparel merchandisers and Sales Managers as well as direct contact with buyers, merchandisers and the Brooks’ Sales Reps for each account. The Apparel Merchandise Planner will occasionally travel to customer meetings and trade shows in an effort to achieve sales goals.

Responsabilities
! Develop and implement seasonal apparel assortments, sales plans, and annual revenue goals for various Brooks Shop-in-Shop formats across channels.
! Manage Run Happy Shop Profit & Loss (P&L) in conjunction with Retail Marketing to ensure program profitability.
! Create and manage the Sales Rep training for the Run Happy Shop program including managing current orders, obtaining future seasonal orders, and maintaining relationships with all relevant stakeholders at each account.
! Partner with Sales management and Retail Marketing managers to develop seasonal programs and actively participate in retail promotions and events targeted toward driving sell thru at key Run Happy Shop locations.
! Partner with Sales management and Retail Marketing in planning and execution of product education events.
! Participate in all Seasonal Product Buys with Sales management and Operations Planning teams.
! Develop and maintain good customer rapport with Run Happy Shop retailers.
! Partner with product management on product issues, improvements on existing products, new product requirements, and competitive information.
! Coordinate with Retail Marketing on fixture performance in store and future planning of fixture or program updates, as well as onboarding new customers to the Brooks Run Happy Shop program.
! Coordinate with Retail Analytics on detailed and automated reporting for Run Happy Shop performance in existing stores for use in planning future assortments, managing inventory throughout the season, including replenishment and markdowns, and evaluating current sales performance with Sales Reps and buyers.
! Maintain current awareness of competitors, competitive product lines and programs and provide feedback to the Product, Retail Marketing and Sales teams
! Assist the Trailhead Store Manager with assortment planning for Brooks Trailhead as a proving ground for Run Happy Shop programs.
! Present recaps and updates on Run Happy Shop at Sales Meeting and Key Retailer shows such as Fleet Feet Conference, TRE etc.
! Key account business and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
! Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing or related field
! 3+ years experience in key account sales, sales management and/or retail buying/planning preferred.
! Retail Sales experience preferred
! Excellent knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word.
! Ability to work in a team environment.
! Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular as it relates to understanding and identifying customer needs for apparel.
! Strong presentation skills.
! Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company.
! Keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks, while still maintaining the larger, strategic direction.
! Ability to anticipate how decisions can impact our customers as well as all other external and internal stakeholders.
! Demonstration of innovation and initiative – always looking at improving our products and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary.
