Your Job:

As the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting at Brooks Running Company, you will be a member of our high-performing Finance Team. You will contribute to the success and growth of the company by ensuring accurate and timely preparation of reports for both internal and external users (including international and governmental reports) and leading the monthly close process. You will drive the advancement of processes and controls to continuously improve the Accounting function. You will manage a team of Senior and Staff Accountants and will work closely with all Finance Department team members as well as global business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
! Manage the monthly financial close process
! Prepare consolidated monthly management financial reports and narrative analysis
! Oversee quarterly and annual reporting to parent company
! Review monthly journal entries and reconciliations Oversee Brooks’ international accounting:
! Including currency revaluations, inter-company eliminations and two levels of consolidation
! Review and report to management the quarterly Transfer Pricing results affecting corporate taxes due globally
! Manage international banking- including review and release of payments
! Prepare weekly cash projections
! Initiate and implement continuous enhancement efforts in the design of various financial processes and reports to improve financial clarity, structure and content
! Lead initiatives to use automated systems to analyze complex business problems
! Represent Finance on cross-functional project teams on systems that impact accounting/reporting
! Maintain and enhance the data integration between Operations and Finance
! Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing Finance business systems and procedures
! Work with IT to develop near-term and long-term strategic view of financial systems
! Manage dataflow between linked financial systems
! Maintain current GAAP knowledge base with respect to new standards and emerging issues that effect Brooks; effectively communicate impacts to senior management
! Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards
! Monitor and enhance procedures related to the reporting process to improve accuracy/timeliness while ensuring compliance with internal controls
! Advise department leaders on accounting matters and questions related to their operations
! Perform special accounting analysis and projects, as necessary
! Identify and communicate risks and issues impacting Accounting
! Lead, coach, and mentor a team of staff accountants and senior accountants. Promote career development and manage the performance using Brooks HR processes.
! Establish challenging objectives for team members and monitor performance against these objectives
! Empower and motivate team members and foster their career development
! Provide additional management and support to all aspects of the Finance department as needed

Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business required
! MBA or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting is a plus
! 10 years’ experience in the accounting field including 5+ years of previous management experience
! Big 4 or second tier national accounting firm accounting firm experience a plus
! CPA or equivalent preferred
! Comprehensive understanding of current generally accepted accounting principles and the demonstrated ability to apply such knowledge to practical situations
! Strong accounting research and technical writing skills
! Experience with the preparation of financial statements and related notes
! Strong aptitude for problem solving, analytics, and process/project management
! Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines
! Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
! Experience developing and leading a team
! Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
! Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks
! Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word – pivot tables
! Working knowledge of ERP systems
