Your Job:

Brooks Sports Inc. recently launched their warehousing and distribution operations in Whitestown, Indiana to serve our customer base from a more centrally located facility. Our customers are both reputed retailers as well as consumers shopping directly from brooksrunning.com. The warehouse operations in this facility are managed using semi-automated picking and packing equipment and a newly implemented Warehouse Management System.

We are looking for an IT Systems Analyst with an extensive Supply Chain Operations and Order Fulfillment background. If you have worked with a WMS and also have experience working with an OMS or an ERP, this is a great opportunity to for you to join us in our journey towards Supply Chain excellence.

You will be heavily involved in supporting our Softeon WMS, helping enhance and implement key WMS business processes that increase operational efficiency and through-put. You will explore the existing capabilities of the software and adjust process configurations to help optimize operations. You will also support and enhance integrations from the WMS to other enterprise applications such as ERP, OMS, Warehouse Control Systems (controlling the Material Handling Equipment), as needed.

As an IT Systems Analyst, you will be part of a team that supports enterprise applications globally with your primary focus on the warehouse applications and technology and the business process supported therein.

Your role requires you to collaborate with the WMS Software Vendor, IT, warehouse operations, logistics and customer service teams at Brooks ensuring consistent availability of business functionality and effective communications between systems. Where applicable, you will work with our cloud-hosting providers to ensure reliable delivery of application services. This role adopts and promotes IT best practices to ensure adequate change control over their production environments. Paramount responsibility is ensuring that customer facing transactions are processed efficiently and effectively.

Your Responsibilities:
! WMS Subject Matter Expert for upgrades and major enhancements. Lead business process improvements and re-engineering efforts as they are implemented in the WMS.
! Partner with Brooks Supply Chain and DC teams at our DC in Whitestown, Indiana and Seattle HQ;
! Own the WMS roadmap and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic business objectives;
! Jointly own with the vendor: delivery of enhancements, break-fixes, patches, updates and upgrades ensuring that ITIL-based change control processes are followed for approvals, planning, testing, documentation and implementation;
! Jointly maintain with the business partners, a backlog for all significant updates to the warehouse applications;
! Lead the Softeon application design as it relates to Brooks processes. Document technical specifications for enhancement requests/bug-fixes. Proactively influence the product roadmap to ensure that the application capabilities evolve along with the business processes;
! Develop and maintain documentation including business process flows as shared between different applications, WMS and OMS process workflows, integration mappings, system context diagrams, system and data interfaces, and controls for each application;
! Understand the integration architecture and participate in any enhancement efforts by providing WMS process /architecture input and assisting with development and testing;
! Lead the root cause analysis efforts for production applications and integration failures and drive necessary remediation of defects;
! Support and monitor active support tickets and expedite resolution working with the vendor; Ensure that the agreed upon service delivery SLAs are met;
! Ensure housekeeping routines and data quality standards are followed by the vendor;
! Work with the vendor and greater IT team to promote further automation and process streamlining;
! Regularly meet with appropriate parties on the IT team and vendor to fix issues and outline planning around WMS, including issue resolution.
! Jointly deliver with the Business, cost benefit analysis for all significant spending on WMS. Provide inputs to contract renewals and negotiation;
! Work closely with the vendor and IT (Apps / BI) team to meet functional reporting needs in the most cost-effective way and controlling access to reporting tools;
! Be a positive and active force for change programs around WMS;
! Be the ITIL best practices champion. Use ServiceNow (IT Helpdesk) and PTS (Vendor Helpdesk) to report and track incidents;
! Participate in development of disaster recovery plans, annual testing and documentation complete with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, for each assigned application based on business criticality

Required Experience and Qualifications:
! 5+ years of experience implementing, administering, managing and/or supporting Warehouse management and parcel applications, preferably in the consumer goods industry supporting the supply chain processes is required. Experience with Softeon WMS is a plus.
! Expert in using SQL to query databases to help with research and troubleshooting efforts.
! Working knowledge of integration technologies and concepts – EDI, XML, Web Services, APIs, etc.
! Configuration/Administrator level knowledge using Warehouse Management components, API's, related interfaces and configuration.
! Proven business requirements elicitation skills and experience with leading structured workshops, brainstorming sessions, etc. Experience writing technical specifications for interfaces to ensure proper functionality and integration with other systems.
! Highly developed troubleshooting skills; tenacity and hunger for finding the root cause of a problem
! Keen attention to detail in planning, organizing and executing tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
! Experience with a variety of development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.
