Your Job:
The Senior Manager, Demand Planning is a key leadership role responsible for developing 5 years strategic and 24 months operational demand plans at brand, SKU and account level for multi-categories and multi-channels in a growing Brooks business.
Functionally, you will play a global role setting the demand planning strategy and Operational Excellence program that generates industry leading forecast accuracy supporting service and inventory performance. Operationally, you will lead the creation of the North America operational demand forecasts through statistical methods and business drivers analysis collaborating with Sales, customers, Marketing and Finance. You will manage the market demand, new product introduction and promotional plans in order to drive a forecasting consensus and facilitate Brooks Sales & Operations Planning Demand Review meeting. Your role is also instrumental in controlling portfolio optimization, financial trend versus demand plan reconciliation, supporting service level protection and offering business analytics and intelligence to support business partner strategy.
Responsibilities:
! Lead demand planning strategies, goals, processes, systems, organizational structure, metrics and capabilities evolution to meet ongoing business requirements and Brooks S&OP standards.
! Manage a team of Retail Analysts and Demand Planners and lead/improve the monthly collaborative demand planning process and weekly update of the demand plan.
! Manage brand, product category and customer account or channel level forecasts to achieve forecast accuracy objectives leveraging modeling, sell-in and/or sell-out history analysis and the input of marketing sales, customer and market information.
! Drive consensus meetings with Sales, Marketing, Finance & Market Supply Planning to ensure
! forecasting objectives are achieved.
! Collaborate with Supply Chain peers to drive service and inventory risk and opportunity assessment, SKU rationalization and overall business analytics.
! Review distribution channels and customer account specific trends to identify or validate risks and opportunities by customer channel or account.
! Partner with Supply Planning to review and analyze new business prospects or scenarios in order to validate risks & opportunities to support new demand.
! Prepare and communicate annual budget and quarterly forecast trend information to S&OP leaders in collaboration with FP&A.
! Review and validate the quantification of new product introductions utilizing historical data for both internal and competitive launches, marketing plans and key account sales plans; then validate risks & opportunities.
! Articulate the demand for a brand category or per customer channel or account for different business scenarios connecting demand variation with business parameters and drivers (door plan, introduction, promotional planning, inventory at retail policy, portfolio sell-out performance, etc…)
! Ensure launch, promotion and other customer or business historical data and insights are properly managed to accurately support future modeling.
! Ensure that sensitivity around sourcing and fulfillment capacity are considered in the demand planning process.
! Develop a strategy forecast collaboration process that includes customer and/or e-commerce forecast input.
! Prepare demand planning input for budget, trend and strategic & operational S&OP for the Supply Chain, Business and Financial communities.
! Review forecast accuracy analysis (FA% and Bias%) including root cause and performance problem solving.
! Set goals, report, review and continuously improve forecast accuracy (FA% and Bias%), portfolio optimization KPI, Demand Planning Excellence Maturity Score.
! Manage (including goal setting, performance review, hiring decisions, team culture, etc.) and support the career development of direct reports to ensure job satisfaction, retention and to identify and develop bench strength.
! Lead the global Demand Planning community developing the Demand Planning Excellence program and participating in cross functional project teams.
! Ensure demand planning practices used at the Business Unit leverage Best Practices Standards developed at Brooks Enterprise level globally.
! Operate to planned budget to ensure department and company goals are met.
Qualifications:
! Bachelor’s Degree in a business, supply chain, science, engineering or related discipline; Graduate Degree (MBA) preferred
! Demand & Supply planning, Inventory management, S&OP qualifications (CPIM, CPSM, APICS…)
! 10+ years of operational business unit experience in Supply Chain & Logistics. Demand or Supply Planning and Customer Supply Chain experience preferred.
! 5+ years of work experience in Demand Planning including 3 years as Demand Planning Manager in context of business growth and functional transformation.
! 5+ years of experience leading a team of retail analysts/planners in a fast-paced, demanding environment
! Demonstrated ability to lead through influencing as well as strong skills as a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in and commitment.
! Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills interacting cross functionally at multiple levels within the enterprise
! Compliance and customer centric mindset
! Analytical skills to evaluate root cause analysis, thoroughness and problem-solving skills, developing continuous improvement in a team environment
! Knowledge of international, end to end Integrated Supply Chain organizations & systems from Manufacturing, Supply Chain Integrated Planning, Customer Logistics, to Physical Distribution network
! English language capability in writing, reading and speaking
