Your Job:

You will be a part of team dedicated to the global Enterprise Applications portfolio and the overall strategic technology roadmap for the major enterprise applications including ERP, Planning, Warehouse Management, Order Management & Order Fulfillment systems as well as integrations across the enterprise, leveraging middleware tools and technology.

The strategy and architecture you help define will have a direct impact on Brooks’ supply chain strategy.

In this role, you will provide IT technical leadership and manage the overall solution design for various large-scale projects within the Supply Chain management and execution domains. As a subject matter expert in various Supply Chain technologies, you will leverage and apply your knowledge of architecture standards & best practices, business processes, issues and challenges relating to supply chain applications including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning, EDI, Forecasting, Procurement, Supply Chain Visibly, Global Trade Management & Compliance, Order Management & Order Fulfillment (Vendor Managed, Consignment, Bulk and Omni-channel), 3PL & Warehouse Management and Logistics & Distribution, to solve for rapidly changing business needs and develop/evolve architecture approaches and patterns.

You will partner and engage with business and technology leaders across all the business functions within the enterprise in planning, creating, maintaining and executing a capability roadmap aligned to the overall company and solution strategies to ensure that the people, process, data insights/information, security and other technology needs are accurately captured and planned for short, medium and long-term execution.

You will provide the technical strategy and supporting IT frameworks to guide the successful design, deployment and operations of IT solutions. You will work closely with IT functional analysts, developers, other architects, technology providers & vendors and IT consultants to design and build robust, architecture-aligned solutions to solve for Brooks’ rapidly evolving business capability needs and delivering the desired business outcome.

Your Responsibilities:
! Develop and maintain an understanding of the Brooks business model (current & future state) and how various organizational functions and processes help create, capture and deliver value to internal and external stakeholders.
! Develop and maintain an understanding of Brooks’ applications/solutions and architecture patterns (current & future state) designed/deployed to achieve the business objectives and deliver value.
! Develop solution options, recommendations, designs based on domain roadmaps/project requirements following API first model, enterprise security standards and reference architectures (process, data, applications, technology), adhering to Brooks’ buy vs. build and cloud-first approaches, where possible.
! Leverage project deliverables, existing technology and platforms to ensure reusability and establishing architecture patterns.
! Develop Enterprise Solution Architecture patterns, advocate and drive adoption of “best practices” to ensure standardization of solution designs and delivery across the enterprise.
! Ensure architecture, technology and solution alignment across functional and technology domains. Gain acceptance of solution & ensure decisions are made and deviations from standards as well as technical debt are properly identified, addressed/documented.
! Develop, communicate, and deploy architecture governance processes in collaboration with other architects/architect level resources/technology SMEs and leaders across IT.
! Own, develop and maintain documentation – Architecture Patterns and Principles, Capability Assessments, Compliance Assessment, System Context Diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Process-to-System Interaction Diagrams, Data Models, Architecture Roadmap, Use case documents, Data Dictionary, Integration design and mapping documents, Functional and Technical Design specifications, etc. Leverage Confluence and Microsoft Teams as a document repository.
! Identify and research innovative new technology to improve organizational capabilities, conduct proof of concepts and evolve architecture standards. Think out side the box to propose elegant solutions for the business.
! Leverage relationships with technology providers to develop creative solutions for changing business needs, for example, AWS, Azure, etc.
! Responsible for stewarding the enterprise applications technology roadmap including assessment of applications in their lifecycle for upgrade, replace, invest actions.
! Contribute to the development of overall strategy, tactics, planning and technology initiatives execution. Plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments across the Supply Chain domain.
! Provide thought leadership as well as tactical technical input in RPI/RFP and pre-discovery/discovery initiatives to support appropriate solution evaluation and selection. Support business case development for initiatives within the program.
! Drive solution architecture for all projects/initiatives across the program. Maintain oversight on detailed design. Facilitate project/initiative deployment and delivery.
! Facilitate solution design and architecture review sessions for projects and workstreams.
! Provide expert technical advice/design inputs with relevant explanation and mentor the delivery team.
! Be accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability and stability, demonstrating a commitment to quality.
! Troubleshoot production support issues and provide comprehensive solutions. Coach and guide team members through support issues.

Job Qualifications:
! Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
! Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant experience. Additional higher education and/or technical certifications a plus!
