Your Job:

The DC Custodian keeps the building in clean and orderly condition, performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors,

washing walls and glass, cleaning/maintaining bathroom cleanliness, and removing rubbish. In addition to various cleaning

duties, this position reports the status of tasks completed, notifies management of need for repairs.

Your Responsibilities:

o Daily Cleaning

? Entry, Offices, Conference Rooms, Break Room

? Clean interior and exterior surfaces of entrance door glass.

? Clean all surfaces and sink in the office break area.

? Sanitize entryway door metal.

? Empty all trash receptacles into trash compactor, change can liners.

? Clean fountains and water coolers, including coolers spread on the DC floor.

? Spot clean interior partition glass in all areas.

? Vacuum heavy traffic lanes and doorway mats.

? Spot mot all hard surface floors to remove soil.

? Restrooms

? Stock towels, tissue, and soap.

? Empty sanitary receptacles and wipe with sanitizer.

? Empty trash receptacles and sanitize.

? Clean mirrors.

? Wipe towel dispenser covers.

? Clean and sanitize, inside and outside, all surfaces of toilets and urinals.

? Scour and sanitize all basins. Polish bright fixtures.

? Remove splash marks from walls around basins, toilets, urinals, and partitions.

? Sweep/vacuum, wet mop, and rinse restroom floors.

? Breakroom

? All trash receptacles are to be emptied and trash removed to compactor.

? Damp mop hard surface floors.

? Clean and damp wipe tables and chairs.

? Clean microwaves, interior and exterior.

? Spot clean walls near trash receptacles with a disinfectant.

? Clean fronts, tops, and sides of trash receptacles with a disinfectant as needed.

? Use a high co-efficient disinfectant for proper sanitation as required, for countertops/sinks.

? Clean water cooler/ice machine.

? Spot clean fronts of vending machine coolers.

? Damp wipe countertops to remove spillage/dirt.

? Spot clean partition glass. Thoroughly wash monthly.

o Weekly cleaning

? Thoroughly vacuum all carpeting, wall to wall.

? Thoroughly dust mop and damp mop hard surface floors, wall to wall.

? Dust all cleared horizontal surfaces, including desktops, desk equipment, file cabinets, partition tops,

windowsills, ledges, counters, tables, chairs/chair bases, wall fixtures and manner of all furnishings.

o Monthly cleaning

? Accomplish high and low dusting, including ceiling vents, mini-blinds, and baseboards.

? Remove fingerprints and marks from around light switches, doors, door, knobs, and door frames.

o Cleaning Supplies

? Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and give weekly notice to management the quantities needed

to order from the vendor.

? Work with manager on ideas and procedures to maintain a consistently high level of cleanliness in the

building.

? Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies on the DC floor.

? May assist with Warehouse Associate duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience

? Minimum of 1-year experience cleaning in an office and industrial environment.

Expectations

? Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. frequently, 40 lbs. occasionally, and 50 lbs. seldomly

? Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear, required

? Maintain personal grooming and wear clothing appropriate for a distribution center

? Ability to frequently sit; stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, required

? Ability to work in limited climate-controlled conditions, required

? Ability to work a regular work schedule and flexible work schedule when needed; overtime when necessary, during

the scheduled workweek, weekends, and holidays when work volume dictates the need, required

? Ability to work independently, provide first-rate customer service, exercise flexibility when asked to transition into

other tasks, demonstrate effective organizational and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrate excellent time

management skills, required

? Ability to work effectively with others, build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with co-workers,

and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations, required
