GENERAL SUMMARY //
Tavik is looking for a Demand Planner who will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with product planning. The Demand Planner will lead the processing of large and varied amounts of data, to create data models for presentation to cross functional teams. They will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with the customers and products related to their applicable categories and maintain forecast models based on information obtained from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Retail and other sources. They will work with apparel team to understand brand and product strategies to ensure proper decisions are made on product purchases. Additionally, the Demand Planner is responsible for recognizing trends or patterns and adjusting forecasts using statistical modeling techniques and qualitative data.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Analyze past, present and future forecasted sales data to properly map future product purchasing.
• Provide accurate retail store and inhouse inventory analysis to the Leadership team in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain models to support decision making with regards to planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Learn the entire product road map to ensure proper decisions are made on producing product.
• Assist with the development and implementation of new procedures and processes to improve the productivity, efficiency and workflow of the Apparel Planning Department.
• Create and measure rolling 12-month demand plans at SKU level in Logility for the Americas.
• Measure performance and forecast accuracy and implement process improvements to reduce forecast MAPE and attainment error.
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy through advancement of forecasting techniques, method and analysis.
• Lead forecast collaboration meetings with Retail teams.
• Establish and improve standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
• Create and manage inventory parameters at the SKU level to balance service level and inventory turn goals.
• Interface with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Planning to obtain the necessary information for the forecasting process.
• Mine data and produce reports, metrics and analysis to identify and solve problems aimed at improving the performance of the demand planning processes.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Sales on product life cycle to determine the best approach in demand planning for inventory and avoid excess or fill rate issues.
• Prepare data for the generation of the baseline forecast by Major Accounts and item and combine with the qualitative data from Sales to develop an enriched forecast. Manage the timely arrival of inputs for the forecast cycle.
• Maintain the forecast database along with all inputs such as POS, forecast assumptions, customer and market trends, promotions, Planograms changes, etc. Define information systems requirements and participate in software solution evaluation.
• Coordinate with Supply Planning to review supply demand gaps and determine course of action to bridge gaps. Communicate gaps and action plans to Sales and Marketing teams. Communicate significant forecast changes to Supply Planning.
• Generate and prepare monthly S&OP reports.
• Perform reporting and analysis as required to support business needs.
