Job Description

Dainese is an Italian action sports brand that specializes in the research and development in protective gear and apparel for the motorcycling, the mountain biking, and the winter sports communities. In 2007, Dainese acquired AGV, which a leading manufacturer of motorcycle helmets in Europe. Now the two brands together are the only company to offer full head-to-toe protective gear for motorcyclists.

Responsible for executing store sales through effective sales techniques, excellent customer service, staff management, marketing, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels by performing the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Manage Staff
• Create and enforce policies (dress code, attendance, etc.)
• Coaching and training of sales, operations, and products
• Create schedules
• Assist organization with recruiting and termination process
• Conduct performance appraisals for retail staff
• New hire orientation
• Report payroll hours and commissions and bonuses to accounting department
• Delegate responsibilities and tasks to enhance the overall operations of the shop

Increase store sales
• Create events to draw customers in
• Maintain advertising and marketing programs (print and online)
• Maintain a relationship with the local rider community
• Maintain communication with customers through social media outlets
• Attend outside events to promote the shop and the brand

Maintain proper store atmosphere
• Professionalism in attitude and appearance
• Keep store neat, tidy and attractive
• Update store products, displays, signage and fixtures

Inventory
• Track inventory on regular basis and communicate with Italy
• Keep a product mix that is relevant to the local market’s customer base
• Reorder as necessary to keep inventory at good levels
• Maintain loss prevention through training and awareness

Other Duties as Necessary
• Maintain knowledge of new products and share information as necessary with staff
• Help maintain clean kitchen and bathroom
• Assist customers with warranty needs and product information
• Assist with Custom Works programs
• Pickup/drop-off/ship off repairs
• Bi-monthly deposits to bank, and keep proper change on hand as necessary for cash drawer
• Maintain petty cash and receipts for accounting department
• Manage building needs (eg. Graffiti cover -up, clean parking lot, garbage)

Education/Experience:
Associates Degree or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel, Constant Contact and Stores 2. Knowledge of desktop publishing and web development applications is also helpful.
