Job Description

Globe International is a leading creator of Action Sports products and entertainment, and has been since 1994. We are a youthful, attitude driven collaboration between a diverse group gathered together to make things that help us better pursue our united passions. We make shoes, clothes, skateboards, movies, art, music, and we even throw parties. Some of us skate, some of us surf, and a lot of us do both--plus, a lot more. DESCRIPTION:
The Store Manager works closely with the headquarters in El Segundo, retail team, and local community delivering exceptional customer experience, developing strong community relations, and communicating the brand message. The store manager contributes to the success of the store providing exceptional leadership in customer experience, delivering detailed product knowledge, driving sales performance, facilitating accurate inventory management, product merchandising and by contributing to community relationship development. Store opens end of May 2017.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Management of the store team
• Team training on store operations
• Inventory management
• Product merchandising and training
• Drive traffic through community outreach, Social Media and advertising
• Manage event/advertising budget
• Build community relationships and support/manage regional events
• Asset protection and risk management


Job Requirements

• Strong management skills, communication, and organizational skills
• Previous Surf, Skate, Snow Retail experience preferred
• Demonstrates initiative, problem solving and accountability
• Proficient use of computer systems including MS Office
• Ability to work both within a team, and independently
• Reliable, is flexible on the job with hours, team needs, and events as needed
• Exhibits a high level of professionalism, punctuality and positive approach
• Exceptional customer service and/or retail industries, preferred
• Familiar with social media tools, including Instagram and Facebook
• Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work typical 40 hour work week, including at least one weekend day and opening or closing shifts during the week.

COMPENSATION:
• Salary depends on experience.
• We offer a complete compensation package including: PTO, health, dental and vision insurance.
