Civil Clothing is looking for an Apparel Production Coordinator.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Production Coordinators to ensure that all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner, working closely and addressing any issues or questions that may arise
• Interact with and monitor design on product development tasks
• Manage the pre-costing process which includes analyzing design cards, markers, fabric specs, and trim specs to estimate the most realistic and accurate pricing for all styles
• Review and negotiate costing and profitability margins and
• Work closely with art department to take over fabric approval and lab dip process once line is presented
• Obtain time and action calendar information from all vendors with prices and communicate the same to planning in a timely manner. All schedules should be set up using the most cost-effective shipping method
• Facilitate all trim coordination including purchases, track delivery and development (in some cases)
• Interact with trim vendors to build sustainable business relationships
• Work with all vendor/agents to receive standard WIP reports weekly
• Coordinate the efforts of product development with weekly meetings involving: Design, Planning, Technical Design, Fabric

Research, and Fabric Purchasing

• Facilitate communication between vendors
• Document all charge-backs and non-compliance issues for senior management to review
• Ensure all products are in compliance with CIVIL policies and procedures
• Train and develop staff to advance to the next level
• Ensure effective testing and quality standards are met
• Interact with management of other divisions to streamline procedures for the team and other team leaders as well as working with divisions to ensure their timely release of info, styles,
• Troubleshoot potential quality and technical issues that may affect garment delivery
• Monitor production process from concept to completion
• Understand fittings to ensure quality and workmanship is up to brand standards
• Stay current with all shipping/packing manuals
• Communicate cutting reports, fabric recaps and shortages with fabric team on replenishment plan

Skills and Requirements:

Competencies

• Ability to communicate with overseas factories
• Demonstrated negotiation ability
• Ability to successfully work with internal departments
• Ability to effectively perform in a high volume fast paced environment

Education and/or Experience

• Apparel related Associates or Bachelor’s Degree from a Fashion School
• 3 to 5 years Production Management experience

Computer Skills

• Strong computer proficiency with emphasis on Microsoft Excel – macros, pivot tables/data manipulation and analysis
