POSITION SUMMARY:
Ethika is currently experiencing rapid growth and we are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our product team. The responsibilities of the Product Development Manager are to develop, manage and maintain the line of Ethika’s women’s and men’s apparel.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the complete product development lifecycle for Mens inline product.
• Works closely with Production on the predetermined product calendar to drive timely approvals & deliver product on time
• Develops all products, recommends materials, and construction techniques that meet design expectations and meet or exceed predetermined gross margin targets
• Manages product samples on fit intent and fit consistency through clear analysis, documentation, communication, adherence to fit standards, and use of block patterns
• Create and maintain sample and trim status tracking charts
• Daily communication with the factory to ensure all comments are accurate and deadlines are met
• Approve and edit tech packs prior to factory handoff
• Maintain manufacturer relationships and travels to factories when necessary
• Interacts with Creative Director, Design Director, Designer, Tech Designer, Marketing and Sales to distribute product technical details and assure the accuracy of product description
• Identifies opportunities to improve the development process and makes suggestions to designer and director of product to continuously improve season after season
• Performs these and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in product development and/or product management
• Apparel design and technical construction
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Illustrator
• Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a multi-task environment
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Detail and result oriented
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external contacts
• Must be willing to have hands in various parts of small business, pitch-in and help out, as well as be able to work in a fast paced, fun and intense environment
