About the job
NY Based Fabric Importer & Textile developer seeks motivated assistant to join the sales and merchandising team in the busy and growing Aliso Viejo, CA office. This position will assist the sales and merchandising team to process customer samples and stock sales orders, general office organization and customer service. If you are interested in fashion, athleisure wear, dance, gymnastics...this is the first step of the whole process, textiles, fabric importing and development!
A qualified applicant is passionate about doing his or her job well, and should be a fast learner and a self-starter who can also work well as team member-- prima donnas need not apply! A positive attitude and the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers, peers, and supervisors are also important attributes.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the below:
• Administration of fabric samples, including packaging, label creation and shipping
• Sample order tracking and processing through product life cycle
• Inventory, purchase orders, and internal data entry
• Stock-line customer sales support, and follow up
• Maintain stock line hangers and office files
• Meeting prep for Sales execs
• Swatch mailings
• General office duties
Experience in fabric converting and/or apparel manufacturing is a plus, but very willing to train the right candidate.
