DGK is a skate lifestyle brand specializing in men’s apparel and skateboards. We’re located in North County San Diego and currently seeking an experienced Apparel Product Development Designer to add to our team. Candidate must have a solid technical design and development background in apparel and accessories as well as possess strong product knowledge, be organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, solid written/oral communication skills and be a positive team player.
Please note this position requires partial in house so must live within driving distance. Position will consider some remote from home but requires ‘in the office’ work at our Carlsbad office at least three days per week
POSITION SUMMARY
• Execute the Technical Design and Development process for Apparel and Accessories.
• Work with Design team to set up Tech Packs for seasonal and SMU styles.
• Manage the approvals including actual samples, lab dips, strike offs, color, art, trims, etc. from Proto to Sales Sample.
• Oversee daily development communication with domestic and international suppliers.
• Evaluate and provide comments and approvals including quality, construction and fit.
• Maintain Development WIP reports to ensure development calendar being met.
• Assist with Costing and Margin requirements.
Salary determined based on skillset and experience.
