Job Description

The E-Commerce Director will lead the team responsible for all branded web and mobile content across all HUF and Lakai websites and platforms as well as user acceptance testing for all sites, brands and platforms, capital project delivery and ongoing operations. This position requires strong business leadership, communication skills, and technology knowledge coupled with an eye for finding optimization opportunities to improve content and UAT practices. They will be accountable for improved site stability through prioritization of defects, enhancements, releases and monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.)

• Responsible for the HUF/LAKAI E-Commerce P&L through understanding key performance indicators ensuring the business meets targets by pulling the appropriate levers to drive sales and find cost efficiencies. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define/lead revenue projections.
• Define and lead the E-Commerce roadmap through strategic thinking and collaboration by translating overall business strategy and customer goals into actionable work plans. Partner to define the omni-channel strategy to serve customers across all HU touch points
• Build and execute merchandising strategy and plan
• Build upon the Ecom team, adding necessary skill sets to increase rate of growth and to decrease dependency on 3rd party contractors for day-to-day needs.
• Drive the inventory buys for the ecommerce business
• Ensure tight process and communication coordination across functions to deliver a cohesive customer experience that balances customer desires and company goals.
• Adapt global strategies for local market and digital environment
• Provide weekly/monthly E-commerce reports to effectively measure and manage Ecommerce business, social media and overall traffic
• Implement and utilize A/B testing with quantifiable test objectives and actionable results across emails, homepage, landing pages and product pages
• Establish department KPI’s/objectives that can be used to measure success; provide direction and insight to ensure department meets expectations
• Manage the day-to-day operational KPI’s and work with direct reports in driving improvements along the following areas: order reviews and cancellations, chargebacks, returns, back-order and pre-order management
• Manage E-Commerce budget with ability to rationalize business decisions and gain executive approval when necessary
• Build traffic to hufworldwide.com, lakai.com and social media through channels such as search, website content, affiliates, blogs, social networking and email campaigns
• Recommend, develop and manage multi-channel marketing initiatives and innovative strategies to support online objectives and initiatives in line with company goals
• Work with Marketing to develop and implement an effective ROI digital marketing plan to be executed in line with business strategy
• Understand, manage, and benchmark online metric tools such as Google Analytics
• Partner with cross-functional team to drive digital initiatives including online brand strategies, performance metrics, online revenue generation and budget management
• Develop and drive SEO and SEM strategy
• Be consumer and brand focused. Constantly think about how to raise the customer experience in a dynamically changing environment.
• Be data-driven to develop and prioritize initiatives, measure results, iterate when necessary, and support business cases.
• Oversee Site Experience to provide a user friendly digital experience across devices with
• features and functionality that provide the most relevant onsite experience to customers.


Job Requirements

• BA/BS
• 5+ years of relevant experience in E-Commerce and Marketing with a focus on implementation and maintenance of E-Commerce technology
• Some understanding of PCI-DSS Compliance Standards
• Proficiency with E-Commerce platform environments such as Magento
• Experience managing in accordance with sales and margin goals
• Experience with E-commerce project management, financial benefit rationalization, website usability and familiarity with mobile and social media platforms
• Ability to adapt to evolution of digital and E-Commerce landscape
• Ability to move from strategic to operational details
• Ability to build relationships across all levels and functions of organization and use influence to motivate cross-functional teams to reach business goals
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse staff while maintaining a positive attitude
