The HUF / Lakai camp is looking for a Product Developer to join the team in DTLA. Please check it out.

Job Purpose - Launch and maintain the development and sample production of assigned styles by serving as the liaison between the Designer, Merchandiser, Fit Technician, and Supplier.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Work in tandem with the cross functional team to insure quality, saleable product with on time delivery.
b. Work with merchandising on proposed product mix, design, aesthetic and target IMU goals.
c. Assist in developing sourcing structure to support merchandising’s vision.
d. Ensure all factories as CSCC Compliant and new vendors/factories are set up in system
e. Negotiate with vendors/factory to achieve costs that meet target wholesale and gross margin targets. Suggest alternatives when relevant.
f. Assist in establishing and monitor time/action calendars to hit target calendar dates for samples and bulk production.
g. Initiate and maintain the development communication with vendors each day, style by style
h. Create and maintain Bill of Materials, Style Master and Cost Information in tracking logs as well as in system.
i. Interpret design comments and add to matrix
j. Serve as liaison between the Design and Fit Technicians.
k. Monitor fabric development (in conjunction with Designers)
l. Fabric approval (in conjunction with Designers)
m. Color approval (in conjunction with Designers)
n. Styling & fit comments during development (in conjunction with Designers and Fit Technicians)
o. Manage and maintain vendor communication for each style throughout the development cycle.
p. Create, manage, and track salesman sample PO’s.
q. Manage and maintain the salesman sample production cycle to secure on time delivery.
r. Assist in creating salesman sample allocation lists.
s. Maintain or improve costs.
t. Obtain and monitor “Time & Action” calendars from vendors on a seasonal basis as it pertains to bulk production.
u. Submit completed development, after PP sample approval, to Production department for TOP quality assurance.

Collaborate with Merchandising team on:
a. Sourcing structure and strategy to leverage both short and long term targets
b. Assist Director of Development in accessing KPI’s.
c. Establish and monitor Time/Action Calendars to hit target calendar dates (insuring sample and bulk deliveries).
d. Collaborate to increase efficiencies on fabric, trims, and costing to achieve IGP goals.
e. Plan greige commitments where relevant.
f. Book long term basic programs where relevant.
