Job Description

Professional skateboarder, Keith Hufnagel founded HUF Worldwide in 2002. In addition to carrying exclusive products from the most respected skate, street and sneaker brands, HUF began producing its own clothing. HUF-branded apparel was immediately in high demand and Hufnagel ultimately shifted his focus to creating a full wholesale product line – resulting in one of the most sought after brands in the skate and streetwear communities. HUF is a Southern California based company with headquarters in Irvine, CA, Creative office in Downtown Los Angeles and Distribution Center in Vernon.

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager is responsible for helping lead the marketing department. The manager’s objectives include marketing planning, campaign development and activation, asset creation, building media relationships, and product seeding strategy. The Marketing manager plays a critical role in the development of the overall marketing plan as well as the execution of that plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned on an as needed basis.)

• Manage all industry and media relationships with integrity and brand poise
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new partnerships
• Build marketing plans that ladder up to the company’s strategic priorities
• Develop a marketing communications plan including strategies, goals, budgets and tactics all based on key initiatives
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing to build a 360 marketing plan that aligns with GTM calendars and strategic outputs
• Lead the execution of marketing programs from concept to completion, driving collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Lead and develop brand right advertising and media strategies
• Manage all campaign and event activation for the brand
• Oversee all media inquiries and manage PR initiatives
• Evaluate and recommend relevant brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting the business and make recommendations regarding marketing strategies surrounding them

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• 5-7+ years of related marketing management experience
• Must be detail-oriented, timeline driven and calendar focused
• Must have a strong skate, lifestyle and cultural industry network
• Excellent proactive communication skills – anticipate challenges and plan solutions
• Proven work experience in marketing and/or related fields
• Proven track record designing and executing successful marketing campaigns at the local, regional and global level
• Event planning experience
• Must be able to find creative solutions to solve problems including the willingness to learn new techniques/methods as necessary
• In addition, be able to work independently as well as in cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent Excel, Word, Data Analysis, etc. skills
