Job Summary:

The Retail Director is responsible for overseeing HUF flagship store openings and the recruitment and development of retail management to ensure associate retention, client experience and sales goals are attained. The Retail Director will also be responsible for strategy and execution of all retail operations (sales achievement, expense control and management, inventory control, and merchandise planning / assortment) to ensure the overall success of the division while maintaining a focus on process implementations / improvements and field operations optimization.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee execution of store openings, expansion, relocation and closing processes.
• Partner with finance department to leverage efficiencies and expenses.
• Develop and lead the retail operations team by defining team strategy and project plans to execute initiatives.
• Evaluate processes, technology, and organizational capabilities to develop and drive improvements in the client experience
• Lead the store workforce management team to drive efficiencies in store scheduling, payroll forecasting, reporting and administration of incentive programs
• Analyze sales performance and implement strategies to maximize opportunity and improve overall performance
• Lead Store Management to achieve company financial goals
• Ensure all retail expenses are allocated efficiently and within budget
• Ensure all loss prevention functions and strategies are effectively performed so that assets are protected
• Partner with Store Management to ensure that all employee relation issues are effectively managed and administered
• Oversee the recruitment and hiring process to populate the retail division with superior management and sales associates
• Oversee the implementation of management training programs and coach / develop to ongoing performance needs
• Plan succession through the identification of individuals with potential for development and growth
