HUF is opening a flagship in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Dallas, Texas – spread the word! And we’re hiring a Retail Store Manager to be in charge of this very important location. In this position you’ll report directly to our Global Director of Retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To manage, oversee and develop a store to ensure sales targets are achieved. The Store Manager is responsible for operations within their store and is also responsible to managing the store’s staff to ensure exceptional customer service. As a leader, the store manager is required to lead and mentor and to foster a strong sense of communication and openness amongst all staff.

SKILLS
• 3 or more years advanced experience in a retail environment.
• 2+ years of management experience in a retail environment is desirable.
• Experience with scheduling and inventory systems
• Experience with retail policies and processes
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to proactively present and escalate ideas, suggestions and problems.
• Hands-on, practical problem solving and ability to complete tasks within set timeframes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management
• Identify and implement strategies to manage controllable expenses to drive profitability
• Manage Store P&L, wages, schedules, product

Inventory Management
• Manage stock levels
• Order and receiving stock in an effective and timely manner
• Strategies to prevent stock loss, monitoring store stock levels
• Prepare for and execute store bi- annual inventory and cycle counts.

Operations
• Managing maintenance, cleaning, follow occupational health and safety guidance
• Constantly identify and improve and/or modify processes and systems, sharing ideas for improvement in appropriate areas
• Manage security of store, staff and product

Sales
• Review and analyse store sales against store budget and team performance
• Identify opportunities to increase sales and meet team performance on store KPI’s
• Analyse and improve product performance

Customer Experience
• Educate and inspire team
• Ensure that all team members are aligned and demonstrate Huf’s approach to customer service
• Promptly resolve any customer issues
• Stand for extended periods of time and undertake some heavy lifting

Brand Management
• Partner with the relevant departments, proactively build and develop new and existing business relationships to identify opportunities for driving sales
• Understand the store, suburb and type of customers, and ensure customer service, store and staff presentation are appropriate
• Proactively support marketing and promotional initiatives
• Assist with shopping events
• Coordinate public relations / marketing store visits
• Build and maintain relationships within local community
• Adhere to standards for store and product presentation in both the FOH and BOH
• Leading by example

Recruitment
• Partner with HR to recruit and select team members that reflect the culture and values of Huf
• Coordinate and contribute to the training of all new retail staff
• Formally monitor new team members through probation period
• Actively network and identify potential candidates, working with HR to maintain a candidate pool
Performance Management
• Escalate any conduct or performance issues to HR and Director of Retail
• Work with HR to conduct Development Conversations bi- annually with Sales Associates
• Seek out feedback on performance
• Training and coaching of all store staff

Communication:
• Actively support directives from Head Office
• Maintain effective, regular, and appropriate communication with team and colleagues
• Attend and participate in meetings
• Ensure all communications are read, shared and actioned to your teams in a timely manner
• Complete all tasks in an accurate and timely manner
