Demand Planner/Analyst

ISLE Surf and SUP is seeking a professional to coordinate all aspects of product purchasing, demand forecasting, inventory/order planning and reporting. ISLE is an industry-leading standup paddleboard (“SUP”) brand based in National City, California (adjacent to downtown San Diego). ISLE sells exclusively through its direct to consumer channels and has been in business since 2004.

The Demand Planner/Analyst will use strong math/MS-Excel skills and analytical abilities in developing pricing models, sales forecasts, purchase planning, and inventory management. The Demand Planner/Analyst works across numerous operating departments of ISLE, including Marketing, Channel Management, and Customer Service.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities
• Build, maintain and prioritize inventory roadmaps with input from management
• Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors
• Financial analysis that supports overall product objectives
• Communicate with overseas factories regarding WIP and manufacturing timelines
• Work with quality control contractors in overseas factories
• Monitoring and creating maximum effectiveness of inbound and outbound hipping, returns, warranty claims, shipping damage claims, lost shipments

• Utilize detailed sales reports and market trends to improve the accuracy of the forecasting process to drive future sales
• Place and manage production orders according to individual product categories production windows
• Track and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery
• Manage available-to-purchase stock and place replenishment orders according to sales objectives
• Provide input to Customer Service team through the use of SKU analysis and other reports in order to keep Customer Service apprised of inventory levels at all times
• Manage closeout inventory, identifying slow moving stock, and communicating discount pricing objectives to sales team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong business orientation, analytical aptitude, prioritization, decision making, business math and computer skills

• Microsoft Excel expert
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• NetSuite – any ERP experience a plus
• General tech stack – ability to quickly learn and implement a wide variety of tech tools including Woo Commerce (cart), Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, and many others

• 2 years demand planning, forecasting, and/or purchasing-related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
