We are a Creative Design Agency located in Long Beach, CA seeking a passionate and creative individual to join our fast-growing team as Product Development Assistant.
This position is responsible for monitoring the brand’s Product Development process from initial design concept to production.
Salary range of position is $40-55K per year.
Responsibilities:
• Assembling and sending development packages to factories and mills
• Create and maintain WIP charts
• Accountable for all development samples rcvd and sent
• Maintain color, fabric, trim binders with swatches, detail sheets and test results
• Prepare and analyze all color submits before sending/presenting to customers
• Attend weekly fit meetings
• Communicate with overseas factories and mills daily
• Manage time and action calendar to meet all deadlines
• Initial costing negotiations
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, Design or equivalent
• Basic computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Flexible and able to accept changes with positive attitude
• Organized and detailed orientated
• Problem-solver, solutions orientated
• Must be able to multi-task, prioritize work on a continual basis
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Able to build relationships effectively with cross-functional teams
• 2+ years of experience in Product Development and/or Merchandising
